“There's definitely nothing I really felt embarrassed or awkward about. I mean, I've been doing this for a long time. I kind of knew what I was in for, especially having done the first one. When you get out there and you start doing the numbers, you have to sort of just leave your boundaries at the door when someone is grabbing your crotch or whatever; just go with it because that's kind of what it's about.”- Matt Bomer
Who is in fact, soooo orange! ;D
Bomes really embraced the fake tan.
And I love him for it ^-^
Just over 24 hours after seeing XXL, I’m still giggling to myself.
It was so cringing-ly, wonderfully random!
Completely different feel and tone to the first film… so much lighter and fun, and without the “this is a bit deep” plot. In fact, this plot was so simple it was barely there! Which is pretty much what you want from a movie about male strippers! ;)
Now, I only saw the first one on the big screen for Bomer. For all 12 minutes of his screen time!
In XXL, I was pleased he was near enough in every scene. (Pretty much every scene bar those pointless/dull exchanges between Mike and the Zoe “I don’t know if I’m a pole dancer or a photographer” girl!)
Hell, sometimes the camera was just on his face when others were talking.
The editor clearly favoured his face!
YEY FOR HIS FACE!!
Aw, Ken(doll) is super cute. I did giggle like a little girl over his Reiki healing/meditation/spiritual stuff. Hehe!
And, yeah, his fake tan…so orange and still so adorable! So much love for it!
Also, he seems soooo teeny next to all the others - I just wanted to hold him and squish him tight! ^^
I pretty much couldn’t wait for Bomey to sing.
And when he did, I squealed (mostly to myself). Both times.
That ridiculously beautiful man is ridiculously talented.
And to all the peeps who were “surprised” he could sing:
SERIOUSLY? HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING IN A CAVE?!
I was a bit miffed that the camera wasn’t on him more during “Heaven”.
I mean, it does focus on him and that Meg lady he sings it to, but the camera also cuts away - and at the wrong moments - to random and unnecessarily long reaction shots of the other ladies. JUST SHOW ME MATT!!
His finale song & strip sequence was sooooo frickin’ sexy!!!
He really goes for it! Just, MMMMUUUUUUHHHHH!!! YUM!!
And I love that he made use of his fedora (his wooby)!
Neal would approve, I’m sure! ;)
I have to say as well, that Bomer’s Carnegie Mellon alumni BFF, aka Alcide Herveaux, aka Joe Manganiello, did rock that mini-mart scene, (was it a mini-mart?). Anyhoo, Big Dick Richie did good!
I also really loved Andre. He was a charmer! ;)
I went into the cinema without too many expectations about the film as a whole,
(I tried not to let myself become too overwhelmed by aaaallllll the press and publicity!)
Basically, I wasn’t expecting anything groundbreaking, so can’t say I was disappointed!
Yeah, a shot of Bomey’s butt on show, or him just wearing less clothes more often, plus maybe another strip scene or two would have been VERY welcomed, but I’ll take what I can get!!
So, yeah, I cheered, I cringed, I giggled, I almost cried… I mostly swooned over The Bomer, which is a favourite pastime of mine anyway. And I whooped when his name appeared at the end. Credited second, after Tatum! WOO!
GO BOMER!!
TEAM KEN!!!!
