So this weekend I went to my first convention ever and now I’m grieving because it’s over... It was amazing! I laughed so much, I met so many cool people, it was so much fun. And I got to meet those people. And I got to dress up. Best weekend ever.
So first convention for me as I said, it was for Sean too, I told him when we got to take a picture together. I didn’t know what to tell him, I didn’t know what we could do so I just had a sort of normal picture... he said something to me but I just caught that Scottish accent I love so much and that’s all, total black out...!
For Mark, it was different, I had a picture with Evanna and Sean before, I felt more comfortable I think... I hope.... I wanted to make a combo with doctor who. Those who know me would know why, of course. So I told him and I brought my mini screwdriver and thought I could use it as a wand and have him as Brian Williams being surprised to recognize it, or as Arthur Weasley wondering what Muggles would do with such a thing... He took it before I could explain more and I was struggling explaining because I was impressed. So this happened. And I like it anyway. What if the Ponds had a daughter who went to Hogwarts eh? Next time I’ll try to be more creative, may there be a next time....!
Mark Williams is amazing, guys, you have to know that! He is so friendly. He shook the hand of every person who came to take a picture with him. He said hello to every person. He opened his arms so wide when I came! And during the panel he stood up, he didn’t sit down. It was cool because we could see him better. I think it was just because he felt more comfortable that way. People asked him interesting questions like what would he choose between a Tardis and a Time Turner and he said a Tardis! He spoke French a lot (it was in Paris) And his French is really really good! He really likes his job you can feel it the way he speaks about it and that is so cool.
There was also a cosplay contest and that little boy was costumed as Snape, but not actual Snape, Snape as the Boggart Neville sees, with Neville’s grandmother’s clothes. And when that little boy went onto the stage to show his cosplay he really walked across the stage as if he were lost and frightened and that was so good. Of course he won.
Great great moment for me.
