Not at all! It is great, it is also just expensive, so if you can fit it in your budget, by all means, but it was running a bit too much for this deck.

what got you into mtg? c:
A combination of a few things ... so my husband has played for a while, but that was mostly a "that's cool, you have your hobbies I have mine" thing because he is way more into gaming in general than I am. Then last spring I got a costuming for one of Wizards' promo videos (I made Garruk's costume and axe) and that was really awesome, both because it was my first really professional costume commission and also because giant axe. And that got me more interested in the story and worldbuilding of Magic, so I asked my husband to teach me to play but then I was like "eh, maybe I'm not thaat interested." But then I went to DragonCon and I was kinda bored in the evenings because I didn't have a lot of friends there to hang out with this year, so I decided to go see if they had any intro/beginner mtg events, and they did, and that was a lot of fun, so in terms of getting into actual gameplay I feel like playing against people who were also just starting out, where we could play at a similar level, was really good.

No worries- most people try to make standard decks so the confusion is understandable :)
