Hogwarts is my home 🏰💙 There has been a lot of hurt in our community recently, but also so much strength & love. For someone who created something I love & relate to so much, it's painful to see such hurt & damage come from it's creator. I have not supported JK Rowling for a very long time now, pretty much from the moment she started adding in random information about characters that were never even thought about in the books. I've said for years, everything she does is tactical. She wanted to step away from HP, but realised everything she did flopped in comparison, so drops a random comment when the attention on her drops, & it's not a coincidence that her new book is coming out, these recent comments she has made are in match with the storyline. The only difference now, she is causing serious harm. She knows her words have power & there will be naive people who listen,& will buy her book believing that being trans is "dangerous & wrong". I will always love Harry Potter, it has genuinely shaped a large part of who I am, has given me lifelong friends & a community I love & that loves me back, & there have been really difficult times throughout my life, including right now, where it's been the only thing keeping me going & my mental health in check. That's partly why you've seen a lot more HP on my feed lately. Harry Potter is MY safe space. I will be continuing to love & post about it (amongst other things, but as I can't exactly go out right now, I've been creating more, & HP has been my current inspo!)
