Hey! I'd love to be an author but I'm very confused on how everything works and what's with the discord and stuff... do you have any links to an explanation I can read or if you don't mind telling me here that's fine too. hello!

the discord server is mostly for those who want to chitchat about their big bang project with other authors/artists, but there are channels for general chat and stuff as well. it’s kind of like a big messaging group. it also makes life a thousand times easier for mods who want to make announcements and stuff, so you should definitely join it ;)

the link to the discord server can be found here. just click it, and you’ll be in! if you like, you can also make an introduction post in the introduction channel, so people can get to know you.

as to how the big bang itself works, everything's pretty much explained in the FAQ but here's the quick summary:

Writers sign up and begin writing stories. When the early drafts of the stories are available, each one is assigned one or more artists, or artists might claim stories from posted summaries. Artists create fanart to go along with the story. This art can take the form of illustrations, manips, photo collages, vids, icon sets, etc.

Yes, that’s the first thing I did.

The problem is that this kind of thieves steals phones to sell them, so they turn the phones off as soon as they can. I still reported everything to the police, said what I could about what happened, plus blocked the number and phone, so it’s completely useless.

Hey you're one of my fave content producers and i reblogged with a public explanation bc i see ppl bashing ow for silly stuff alot but i just wanted to personally inform you on a non-agressive level the mei skin is another glitch due to game mechanics and how models work, her coat normally fills in where we can now see her spine, the model doesnt account for the missing coat, etc. same thing when her ass was enlarged with a previous skin. Literal oversight and not intentional.

i would have more sympathy in them for making this mistake again if it hadn’t taken them so goddamn long to address it last year. but to be fair they did fix it and though i think we as a collective are well within our lane to see this as a mistake they, a triple A company/game, shouldn’t have made, i guess i’ll fuckin let it slide

just because you don't agree with someone's political views does not mean you cannot enjoy their content...

okay? i posted that so people know, like i was going to buy one myself for shits but i don’t want to give money to someone whose political views are harmful. the ideas i mentioned are fucked up and i’m not interested in supported someone who believes in that sort of thing. i’m not saying people can’t buy his books but that if anyone who follows me is like me and doesn’t want to support someone like that in any way, then they might want to know that information

I made it very clear that positivity for straight white cis men is accepted and reinforced systematically in the outside world, and that is why your post was not necessary. Positivity for other groups of people is not reinforced systematically– all you have to do to see that is notice that the Declaration of Independence wasn’t written to apply to black people and women. Positivity for certain groups outside of the system is necessary because otherwise there is none for those groups at all. Straight white cis men are not one of those groups who aren’t part of the system. And, by the way, implying in any way that work to promote acceptance of LGBTPN people, black people, and women isn't necessary in a society so obviously against them is blatant homophobia, transphobia, racism, and sexism. Charming.

The only reason Tumblr isn’t an effective safe space is because of the presence of anti-SJWs, like you; neo-Nazis; TERFs and SWERFs; etc. These people are all soundly rejected by the community at large; that’s what all this hate you’re getting is– people are telling you that your “everyone needs positivity uwu” opinion is not welcome here. Remember, a site is defined by its users, just like any other community and its members. If none of you were here, I promise, this website would be an excellent safe space.

Again, you’re getting hate because your posts and opinions are not welcome here– the userbase is against you, and is showing you the door. If you’re too stubborn to take the hint, then you should quit whining because that’s no one’s fault but your own.
