Cynics and Romantics is up on AO3

It’s my fic entry for this year’s Borderlands MiniBang. 

I had two amazing artists to work with: 

Glitchedhound and hyperioncompanyman, both of them were awesome and enduring of my late night ramblings.

And the best beta ever was the lovely @conformityvictim, I love you, but you do know that already (hopefully)!

I would like to thank the organizers @borderlandsbigbang for the event too, it was fun and I got to know several people in the fandom!  Oh yeah, fic is a Princess Bride AU for Zerhys. Make of that what you will, it seemed like a good idea at the time… :DDD

“Rhys… what did you do?” They asked eventually when the largest ship they had seen landed before them and troops bearing the Crimson Lance insignia piled out in droves followed by bots. And one small round bot too, excitedly waving her hands around and rolling towards them.

Rhys looked up at Zer0 with a grin, before standing on his tiptoes and pressing a small kiss to their mask.

“I’ve revived a titan to fight a titan. And we won in the end.”

So I was very happy to participate in the @borderlandsbigbang again. This is for the fic by SpiritOfFox of their Zerhys Princess Bride fic called Cynics and Romantics. It’s a really nice fic and you should totally go give it a read. 

I tried to go for some kinda watercolor splash page and ClipStudio is still pretty new to me. Didn’t quite turn out how I imagined it but I’m very happy with how Zer0 and Rhys came out in the end and I had fun.

2019 Borderlands Mini Bang Posting Schedule

Hi everyone,

Congrats on making it to the finish line of the 2019 Borderlands Mini Bang! We're real proud of y'all, and hope everyone's looking forward to seeing all the artwork and fic that's gonna be posted soon. We are, that's for sure :)

Posting will take place from September 9 - September 12. Please post your combined art and fic on the day that you and your authors/artists have been assigned.

Authors, please note that all art must be embedded into your fic (if on AO3), and you must link back to the artist. If you’re posting somewhere that doesn’t allow images to be embedded, make sure to post links to the artwork and artists’ social media account of choice in the notes.

Artists, if you’re posting your artwork to tumblr/other social media, make sure it’s posted the same day as the fic, and that you include a link to the fic. Make sure you let your author know how you’d like to be credited.

Don't forget to tag your content appropriately, and to use the #borderlands minibang (tumblr) and/or #borderlandsminibang (twitter) tags. We will be reblogging tagged content throughout the week!
