                 akari’s actually enjoying her trip to kalos thus far. going to the upper parts of the region where it seems to be a lot colder is very enjoyable, reminding her of her own home extraordinarily. she’d also heard plenty about a gym being build in the small town of dendemille town a couple of years back, though the exact date or year she didn’t know.

thus, curiosity had taken over and she’d taken a left turn and gone off track to see.

                  shoes tap lightly against the concrete sidewalk, taking every corner to find this gym. she was really, really curious. she just wanted to see it and meet the gym leader. that was about it. 

she enters the gym.

                                   “ EX---CUSE ME ! ! is the gym leader                                       available ? “

that’s one way to get their attention.

"Spider. On your shoulder."

        ❝–Huh?❞ Senna said, turning her head to see a glimpse of fuzzy, yellow hair poking out from under her own. Eyes going wide, she slowly lifted her ponytail off of her shoulder and looked down at the joltik that had somehow found its way onto her body. ❝Uh… hey, there little guy! What… are you doing there? He’s not… yours, is he?❞

It’s worth a shot, at least.  Or so it seemed.  She finally made her way around the Kalos region and came across a gym with rare (new) Pokemon.  Fairy types seemed to be discovered here, a new type that can beat down even the strongest of dragons - and it was only sensible that there was a gym to show off those Pokemon.  By her side sat Ivy, her prized Ivysaur, as they stared upon the double doors that lead to the entrance to the gym.  

“Ivy... Do you think we should try it?”  The small plant type nuzzled it’s trainer’s leg, giving a reassuring nudge forward with an excited “saur!”  “Yeah, you’re right!  It’s not about winning and getting a badge, it’s about trying!”  Kneeling down, a gentle head rubbed behind the ears and eventually down to the ivy leaves upon it’s back, a soft giggle emitting from her lips.  “Thank you, Ivy.  I don’t know what I’d do wthout you.”  

Standing up, she dusted the dirt from her hands and placed them onto her hips, breathing a deep sigh to try and calm her nerves.  One... two... three seconds passed until finally she pushed through the barrel doors, coming into view of the huge gym that lay ahead of her.  

“Uhmn, hello?  I’m looking for the gym leader...?”

Snowpoint City. How long had it been since she had last wandered around these parts? Far too long, in her mind-- though she had little to no reason to be here, seeing that her parents were now in VIridian City.. there was simply a sense of nostalgia felt upon arrival to the city covered in a blanket of snow, its whiteness reflecting the pure, child-like joy she felt towards the place. Hands reached out to catch the falling snowflakes with a faint smile, Eon something similar by attempting to catch them as well.

Only after a few moments does she realise the giddiness of her actions, then did she look around to see if there were anyone that had noticed her. A few passersby seemed to be amused by her initial actions, but no one seemed to be too.. disturbed, perhaps? Though, there seemed to be a girl, shiverring in the midst of the cold city. 

Concern overtaking her momentary joy, she approached the stranger and instinctively offered her jacket, tipping her head to a side as she spoke.

❝ .. Are you cold? You can have my jacket.. I’m used to the cold. ❞

“That’ll be ¥2900,” the Pokemart cashier told the blue-haired man as he stuffed his groceries into a plastic bag.  Olly dug in his pockets for some change, cursing as he fumbled with his wallet.  For a moment he was afraid that he didn’t have enough on hand, but luckily he found a ¥50 piece hiding in his back pocket.  He swapped the money for his groceries, which all fit in one bag.

“Thanks,” he muttered, ducking his head as he tried to make it out of the shop as quickly as possible.  He should have known that strangers wouldn’t really care how much food he was buying, but he still felt self-conscious whenever he had to go shopping.  Between him and his two Pokemon (soon to be three, he reminded himself, swallowing hard), he had plenty of mouths to feed.

Distracted by the thought of the Pokemon egg he had found earlier, he didn’t notice that someone was trying to enter the Pokemart while he was heading out the door.  They bumped into each other and he dropped his precious bag of groceries.

“Fucking hell!  Why don’t you watch where you’re going?” he said to the stranger as he bent to pick up his bag.  He really hoped the eggs he’d bought hadn’t broken.

Recently made an acquisition that I'm a bit afraid of. I'm not sure if I could sell this item in good conscience. 

A board for Chinese Checkers, exquisite worksmanship. A dark platter of ebony wood, dyed subtly with red, green, purple, blue, yellow, and white. Inside the drawers underneath each "side" houses baubles of glass with flecks of color marking their side. The board dates back to the late 1800s; perhaps made in the same year the game was conceived - you could see the game's German origins with the words "Stern-Halma" engraved into the bottom. 

Certainly, to simply roll the bauble in your hand....you can tell that this is a piece of history you're touching. It's an honor beyond all honors to play on this board, and you would be perfectly willing to learn how to play just for the chance. Your fellow partygoers agree.

And your host obliges with a patient smile. As the night dies, and the host naturally wins. You watch him go around the table whispering something into everyone's ear, and eventually he speaks to you. Something important but you can't remember the words.

You shake your head and suddenly the host is escorting you and everyone outside, thanking you for a wonderful evening. 

You go to bed. You wake up to the sound of flashing lights and sirens. In your bloodied hand holds a knife, and underneath it is a face sporting too many holes to make identification possible. 

To the winner goes the spoils.

I've always wondered if a soul is the summation of all the experiences one has gone through in life, all the possibilities that exist within your person, would it be possible to extract those latent potentials to create something new? 

Is a soul divisible? Does life require the potential of a soul?

Purify, Cleanse, Release

Purpose:

To temporarily alleviate a negative influence from a room due to a surplus of bad karma, a recent argument, or a haunting.

Generally you can use this spell if you suspect something supernatural is going on such as a room that you just seem to get into fights in more or possibly a bedroom that you find it hard to sleep in. 

Spell components:

A spell circle with an eight spiral. (Lycoris sigil)

Five small candles wax.

A handful of dirt.

A cutting from a plant.

A container filled with water (size doesn't matter.)

A handful of matches.

A metallic object. 

Instructions:

Set the spell circle in the approximate center of the room. 

Place the five wax candles onto the edge of the circle, roughly shaped in a pentagon.

Under the candles you should place the following elements in a clockwise order: earth, metal, water, wood, fire.

Light the candles.

Recite slowly and deliberately the following: "My home is my sanctuary, and I reject the uninvited from my abode. To those who leave peacefully, I grant you passage from this place. To those that remain, be burned away by the power I summon."

Repeat for one minute.

Blow out the candles to carry out the spell.

The room should be free of supernatural negativity for approximately a month.

You cannot cast this spell if you do not live in the abode or do not have the rights of ownership.

This spell is limited to one room. However, it can be casted as many times as needed, even with the same components.  

This spell will not work if you do not give the right of safe passage. 

Deliberation is key. The poor magician casts with doubt and hesitancy in their words. This spell directly amplifies your will and forces those without physical form and not underneath your aegis to be banished.
