A wave of relief washed over Junko as she heard that her Genger had indeed come across this path, but unfortunately, he was gone now. Junko then took notice of the Espeon that she had not noticed before. She had never seen such a Pokemon around here before. However, before Junko could even think of oogling at the new Pokemon, she had to find Sans.
’ —oh, oh yes please! ‘
she replied, actually being polite. She would be eternally grateful for this stranger’s help, though.

❝ Alright, follow me then. ❞ Cue a slight tilt of her head towards the general direction they would be heading towards, and the beckoning of her hand to ask for her to follow. Briefly does an inquisitive look settle upon her features, wondering as to regarding the Ghost type’s whereabouts.. and their natural tendencies. ❝ ..I am curious though, aren’t Ghost Pokemon more prone to remaining outside their pokeballs? I’d thought they prefer wandering around in general.. ❞
Coming to a stop, Eon gazed back at Maia with twitching ears, silently notifying the Champion that their targeted pokemon was nearby, but perhaps, hidden from sight. Without much hesitation, her gaze was cast upon their surrounding area, before confirming Eon’s suspicions-- hence did she turn to the trainer to speak.
❝ It appears that he's found himself to be in the forest area-- as much as I would like to help, my Espeon is only good at identifying familiar presences. The wild pokemon will disrupt her.. so I suppose we will have to look ourselves. Perhaps he might answer to you calling him? ❞

Very rarely someone of important social standing visited the Johto Battle Frontier. For weeks now everyone had eagerly been anticipating someone, this time around being the Champion of Kanto, Maia Ashworth. The Frontier Brains, including himself, were given the privilege of meeting her. It was exciting but he couldn’t help feeling absolutely terrified. There wouldn’t be a group gathering or celebration but rather, a one-on-one meeting.
All employees watched as the calendar rolled over and finally reached the designated date. Earlier that morning Quinn frantically emptied bins on his floor, tidied his work area and made sure not one hair was out of place. Many spoke highly of her and he didn’t doubt their respect. She was mentioned by many challengers he’d taken on, with the same tones of admiration.
Quinn was about to leave and get his morning tea but stopped abruptly at the elevator. The lights indicated it was in use and he took a step back, nervously fiddling with his hands. As the familiar ding sounded and the doors rolled open his head snapped up, allowing him to stare right at the Champion.
“M-Maia! Hello,” he stuttered. “Welcome to the Battle Frontier. Please, sit.”
He led her over to the spare seating, a plush lemon-coloured couch. Quinn stole a glance out the windows to see dark thunder clouds billowing over the sea. Wind had begun to pick up this morning and had reached a gale.
“I suppose it wasn’t the nicest day to visit here, with the storms. Olivine City can be like that sometimes. A-are you liking Johto so far?”

Briefly had her gaze settled upon the overcast scattered across the skies, rain threatening to fall at any sudden moment, the very sight eliciting a soft sigh from the Kanto Champion. Forecasting never proved to be accurate after all-- though she could have easily asked for her Espeon to vaguely forecast the weather, but the element of surprise was appealing to her. Rain was not too much of an issue to Maia, if anything it was a pleasant change from the warm weather that Kanto offered.
A sudden greeting offered was what disrupted her train of thought, gaze seeking the owner of said greeting before settling upon the person before her. What were the chances that it were the host?
❝ Oh..! Ah, hello, Quinn. I do apologize for shocking you-- I didn’t quite expect you to be waiting for me right by the elevator. ❞ A pleasant surprise to say the least, but still a surprise nonetheless. Cue a gracious smile tugging at her lips as she regards Quinn, falling back to formality as she ought to, simply to keep up appearances. ❝ Thank you for accepting my request for a visit, though it was on a slightly shorter notice. ❞
Following close behind, the Champion took the chance to survey her surroundings briefly, rather impressed by the amenities provided-- though it seemed to be similar to what the Kanto League Building had to offer. It did seem that certain things differed, her current whereabouts being an esteemed Battle Frontier facility after all. The seat she was lead to was graciously taken, as she placed her hand on her cheek, legs crossed as she responded.
❝ Ah, the weather isn’t too much of a bother-- I am quite fond of the rain. Johto’s hasn’t changed much since I’ve last been here, pleasant as always. ❞ Tugging at her lips was soon a vaguely melancholic smile, her gaze cast towards the overcast lingering in the skies. ❝ A shame, really.. I would have taken the chance to visit the Whirl Islands after our meeting if it weren’t for the high chance of a downpour.. ❞
Quick to change the subject, a smile graced her features soon after, eyes glinting with interest regarding their current whereabouts. ❝ I’ve been meaning to come visit, and it seems that it was worth it. The functionalities of the respective facilities have always been an interest of mine. ❞

Never has Junko been this full of energy until now.
She lets out her Gengar, Sans, out of his Pokeball and Junko turns away for one minute. And poof. He’s gone.
Panic filled Junko as she wondered where he ran off too. He wouldn’t have wandered off, that wasn’t like him. What if one of those bad guy groups stole him?
During her panicked state, she ran around the town, yelling out for her Pokemon, until she ran into a lady.
❝ —miss, miss, have you seen my Gengar? He’s big, fat and purple, you couldn’t miss him!! ❞
she blurted out in a hurry, tears threatning to fall. She didn’t even bother to apologize for running tinto the lady.
♔ ||: ✂———𝕷 ɪ ᴀ ʀ , ʟ ɪ ᴀ ʀ ♥ :||
A regular happenstance, it seemed to be for her to be bumped into by a passerby, then immediately apologized to before the other took their leave. Perhaps it was partly her to blame as well, considering her distant thoughts that glossed over the several topics her thoughts tend to shift to. Said thought process was however, abruptly cut off by yet another person bumping into her, though this one had been causing quite a ruckus before their collision.
Frost blue eyes flickered over to the stranger that had collided with her, panicked words regarded by the Champion with the tilt of her head together with the noticing of said stranger’s teary-eyed expression. Over to Eon did she gaze, to which the Espeon gave a curt nod and rose up to her feet, ready to depart in search of the aforementioned Gengar.
❝ ..I have, actually. He has long left my line of sight-- However, my Espeon could easily track him down for you, if you don’t mind? I’m sure he’s still around this vicinity. ❞
I’ve not been feeling too great as of late so I’ll probably be taking a break for a few days-- just putting this here for those that want to know-- probably be back by the 17th at the least, because need to keep active. otherwise I’ll request a hiatus

Frost blue eyes flickered at the stranger that had approached, though initially had she concluded that it was unlikely that they were approaching here. Her identity was more well known in the Kanto region after all, hence her visit to her home region usually met a less likely scenario of random strangers approaching her due to her status– wait, were they talking to her?
Attention now diverted over to the stranger, the glass she held in her hands was placed down upon the table before her as she scrutinized the instigator of said conversation. Though she had not heard what the other had said prior to her diverted attention and assumed conclusion, it seemed that the stranger was gracious enough to repeat her words– which seemed to be inclining an offer of sorts for.. dinner? It was already strange for her to be approached under such circumstances, coupled together with such an offer..
❝ .. I don’t mind. You don’t seem like one to hold malicious intents. ❞ The second statement was said as though it were a mere afterthought, not at all wary of any sort of tricks that may be up her sleeves. Then again, there was a rather loyal Espeon that would be more than happy to ensure her safety, and Maia herself was capable of handling certain situations as well. ❝ Though it may be a fair bit late, I’ll be visiting my hometown and Lake Acuity. ❞
A hand reached up to tuck a stray piece of hair behind her ear, then picking up the glass to finish her drink, before once more regarding the stranger and her odd request.
❝ Do tell me why exactly you wanted to have dinner with me of all people, and so out of the blue when the time comes. Would it be alright to meet here around 7.30 in the evening? You can tell me where you’d like to eat then. ❞ And with that, she turned on her heels to pay for her drink, and left.
Autumn Attractions;

Situated in the woods between the towering Mt. Mortar and the open fields leading towards the western shores, the historical city nestled in the northern section of the region was a rather mysterious place of interest. It’s tales from long ago made it the centerpiece of strange happenings and encouraged stories of legendary beasts birthed from the ashes of forgotten pokemon. The sad remains of it’s once great and glorious tower aids the haunting tales and also gives way to the beginning of even scarier stories.
And with the once lush and beautiful trees sheading their green to that a of burnt orange – it seemed like the most fitting of times to be digging up the past.
In commemoration of such tales, the people of Ecruteak City had spread word that they would be holding a small festival along the bellchime trail. The location seemed appropriate given that the fall colors from the trees that paved the path were always present and it would be a refreshing change from trying to set something up too close to the towers and risk disturbing the priests who seemed to be against such festivities. Several food stalls and stands would be there filled with delectable treats and even more were the small attractions set up in order to draw in a large crowd.
It didn’t really seem to be anything as grand and luxurious as the many carnivals that Lumiose City sometimes had during the seasons, but it seemed interesting enough to grab the attention of a certain poisonous princess.
“My brother told me about it while I was out visiting him,” Manami explained as she made herself comfortable in the spacious room that belonged to the Kanto Champion, her tea rose hues shifting from the closet she swore she’d be making some changes in shortly to the modern decor scattered about.
It’d been a long time since the Fuchsia City Leader had been able to make an appearance in her friends presence. The warmer months always proved to make things a little more chaotic as that was when most trainers set off on their journeys. She’d had well over twenty challengers in the last two weeks alone, but now that it was beginning to get cooler, she was finally able to stray away from her duties if even only for an afternoon. It seemed that it was more difficult to travel by foot when the weather was frigid and only more tropical-like cities were getting the attention around this time of year.
“I’ve asked him to go with me, but he said that he has a conference or something and he’ll be heading all the way to Castelia,” she added, making sure that the other wouldn’t be able to brush off the day out onto Manami’s sibling. “He said it would be much more fun to go with a friend~ And he even said that the Kimono Theater will let you dress up if you want!”
Excitedly, the pinkette clapped her hands together as she imagined both her and Maia walking through the trails like some movie scene out of an older, edo-period like tale.
“I’ve already asked if it was okay if we took the day to go and see it,” she continued, moving so she could push the flyer entailing the details of the festivities onto the Champion. “They said it was totally okay since you never leave your room and they’re worried about you not getting enough fresh air. So let’s get going, Maia-chan!”
♔ ||: ✂———𝕷 ɪ ᴀ ʀ , ʟ ɪ ᴀ ʀ ♥ :||
❝ No. ❞
The very first and last word that would be uttered by the Kanto champion was a simply refusal, though the person that had decided to visit had yet to speak. Simply seeing the gleeful and giddy look in the visitor’s eyes was enough to convince Maia to utter a simple refusal, before turning her attention back to the book in her hands. However, taking into consideration as to how her friend was, it was unlikely that such a light refusal would be enough to stop Manami from going into a full drivel regarding yet another one of her plans to convince the Champion to leave the comfort of her room. Which may be odd, seeing how she never really did remain in said room unless the weather outside was not fair.
Her being here was complete chance after all, seeing that she was either busy with paperwork, or on duty taking challengers. Halloween meant that it was a public celebration, and the fact that the League was closed due to the celebrations occurring outside meant that it was a day’s worth of rest for her. That would also mean the inevitable visit of a friend of hers, that being Fuchsia’s gym leader who was now happily rambling about most likely, some place that she’d like to visit and how she could definitely use the Champion’s company. Practice of listening to Manami’s talking for many hours had taught her that there was tone that her words took if it was something serious, and this one was simply for inviting her to go outside and do something that was partially unnecessary.
Finally, finished. Oh, no-- not Manami’s talking, but she had finished reading the book held in her hands, hence her attention was finally diverted over to her friend. A mention of her brother’s current whereabouts and busy life-- there goes her excuse-- would be the very reason as to why Manami had decided to drop by the Champion’s quarters in an attempt to get her outside. Rather typical of the poison type specialist, really-- but the notion left a smile playing on her lips.
Which fade almost in an instant after Manami finally finished her drivel by pushing the flyer she held in her hands over to Maia who now donned upon a nonchalant expression upon her features. An eyebrow arched at the mention of her not being out much, which was where she finally decided to actually respond instead of simply listening in complete silence. ❝.. I do leave my room. Challengers aren’t exactly battled here, and my duties cause me to at least make rounds around the cities at least weekly. I’ve had my share of fresh air, so just let me relax for one day, Manami. ❞
Frost blue eyes quickly scanned the content of said flyer to catch the gist of what it was Manami had been speaking of, before breathing a sigh and resting her cheek on her hand. It seemed appropriate to actually respond to her offer now, with her usual refusal though with a slight twist in the end of it.
❝ I can get fresh air from a bottle. They sell it in some weird stores. ❞ Reaching for the book she had initially been reading, pages flipped as she reached the designated page that had a ludicrous deal regarded actual bottled fresh air for fifteen pokedollars. What a great deal. ❝.. Forgive me for asking, but where are you planning abduct me this time? I’d say no as I usually do, but considering the fact that even if I do, you’d most likely make me go anyways. I wonder if you’re even listening to this. ❞
And with that, a grin tugged at her lips briefly as she awaited Manami’s response, before disappearing as she once more adapted her usual expressionless gaze-- though still with a hint of smile glinting in her eyes.

Lips parted as the taste of copper hits her tongue, fingers reaching up to keep the wound from bleeding, a grimace settling upon her features as she hurried over to her room’s bathroom. Head wounds certainly did bleed more than normal wounds, but it was entirely unexpected upon her disarming a trap found in Viridian Forest, and that very rope had lashed out to hit her hard on the head.
It hurts.
A quiet gasp escaped her lips as she stumbled across the League building, in which there was thankfully no one around– and quick steps were taken towards her room. She had to hurry, not because of the profuse bleeding, but because of her thoughts. Many things flooded back into her mind, and she felt as though she was about to burst any moment– and no one was allowed to see that.
Stranger. A visitor of sorts was standing before her path, eyes wide with concern immediately offering to wipe away the blood that had began to flow down her cheeks and acting upon her offer. Under normal circumstances the Champion might have been grateful, but upon these–
❝ STOP!!. ❞ Loudly was the single word uttered as the Champion batted away the offered hand, before turning away. Continued words were heard by the stranger, but they were nothing more but whispers in her head, similar to the thoughts that tormented her mind at the time. ❝ Please go away. Please. ❞
Tears formed under her lashes, and her bloodstained hand reached up to wipe them away hastily as she continued her journey back to her room. Tending to the wound was no issue, but it seemed as though there was something else that she ought to tend to before hand, seeing the state that she was in. Fingers curled around her scalp as she squeezed her eyes shut, forcing her breathing to regulate and to actually breathe.
It would take her hours to calm down. Hence the decision was made to simply lie in the bath tub, which would not be dirtied like the carpeting of her room, and to simply sleep. An apology to the stranger would be best, but later.

..An apology? Though it had come together with a bouquet of flowers, the very notion did not make sense to the Champion in the slightest– what was there to apologise for? And who was this person that was noted at the bottom of this note? Certainly not an acquaintance of hers, but– the name ‘Draze’ had definitively caught her eye, and a soft smile played on her lips, though not within hidden intentions.
Come a few hours or so, the aforementioned Elite’s room was now beautifully decorate with said bouquet of flowers, though with a certain touch from the champion herself. Which was basically, pictures of him as a flower, pictures of him with flowers, pictures of him with flower crowns.. What a lovely afternoon to spend editing those pictures of Draze that she had. Content with her achievements, she left the victim room and once again brought her gaze over to the note.
❝ ..Apology accepted, I suppose. There was nothing to apologize for in the first place, however.. ❞ Lightly does she chuckle as she gingerly placed the card in front of the Elite’s room, a smirk remaining upon her lips as she walked away. ❝ The person that should do the apologizing will feel the full brunt of your apology. ❞
And now to wait. For the dragon Elite to inevitably stumble upon his newly decorated room with many pictures of himself, and for her to quickly make her escape soon after. Revenge was rather sweet after all.

❝ …Who are you? ❞
That very question came from a rather confused Champion who simply stared at the Elite that was donned in a suit, eyes flickering as she scrutinized the other warily. Who was this well-dressed stranger that looked like a doppleganger of Draze’s that stood before her? Might this be the brother of Draze that was mentioned in his papers..? No, it quite definitely looked like Draze.. but it couldn’t possibly be, right?
After all, this was Draze that we were speaking of. The mischievous prankster that seemed to prefer comfort over formality, there was certain no possibility that he would be wearing a suit, would there? Unless, it was for a formal occasion, perhaps? Which lead to Maia thinking as to what few occasions would require–
❝ Congratulations. ❞ With a prompt nod, Maia looked back at the Elite before nodding once again, then reaching out to take his hand and shaking it. ❝ You did well keeping this from all of us. Go, you may go and elope with your loved one, I’ll take care of everything else. Goodbye and farewell, my old friend. ❞
❝ .. You should wear that everyday. For a prank. It’d scare Vance, for sure. ❞ Cue a pondering expression, before the Kanto Champion snapped her fingers and spoke once more. ❝ Maybe change your personality as well. As a .. dapper gentleman? It would be hilarious, trust me. ❞
Was she joking, or was she not? Who was to know, with the two conflicting statements– one of congratulations of this ‘elope’ she had imagined up, and then a prank of sorts? Professional Champion, right here.

Kalos being the one region that she had little to no knowledge of, it seemed appropriate to ask the very Champion of said region to explain the few legends and whatnot of Kalos. Though Ziarae hardly seemed to be the type to happily share stories of her home region, Maia was colored surprise when she had more than eagerly offered to speak of the core legend of Kalos– regarding two legendaries that were called Yveltel and Xerneas.
Simply put, throughout the entire storytelling from Ziarae, Maia was both sleep deprived and delirious from.. well. Her lack of sleep. Hence did her mind wander a fair bit even though the Kalos Champion was making quite a well attempt to enlighten her of the knowledge of her own region.
Take no offense, Ziarae– she did try her best to remain awake and listening. The stories of each individual region were truly interesting in their own way after all, but her body was not having any of it. Practically screaming for some rest, her limbs soon gave way and she found herself sprawled on the floor while still listening to the speaking Ziarae, frost blue eyes staring up at the other.
❝ …Sorry, Ziarae. Can you explain why Yveltel needs to suck up life energy? It just.. seems counter-intuitive, somehow.❞ Crawling up to her knees, Maia then sits up and slaps her own cheeks in an attempt of sorts to remain awake. ❝ Where do the other legendaries of Kalos come in? Or are they a different entity completely..? ❞

Occasionally the Kanto Champion would find herself staring up at the starry sky, counting each and every one of them in her mind as a way to distract herself from her surroundings, wanting to have a breather of sorts. Many would already be aware of her fixation with both the scenery provided by the night, and the time that would be considered night itself– but alas, duties kept her for having the opportunity to witness the night sky daily.
Hence, her current location being around the outskirts of Viridian Forest. She had wanted to stargaze tonight.. but it seemed as though it would be better to return to the League. Exhaustion coupled together with her usual lack of sleep was not a healthy mix, to say the least, otherwise she would have–
Frost blue eyes flickered at the sight before her, a familiar blonde laid upon the grass staring up at the sky as though she were doing the very thing that Maia wished that she could do. Well, most likely she was, what else would any other normal person be doing out here in the night staring up at the sky? Perhaps some sleep would really suffice for her dwindling sense of vocabulary and common sense, and with that thought in mind, steps were taken towards the Hoenn Champion as she sat herself down beside the blonde.
❝ .. Didn’t think I’d see you, of all people, out here. ❞ A soft sigh, soon followed by her taking off her jacket, and placing it on Ailis as an afterthought. ❝ You’ll get cold out here.. Get back inside after you’re done. I’ll be right here.. ❞ Cue a yawn, and the Kanto Champion soon curled up, fast asleep.
