I have a goldfish named Snips!
I've always wanted a dog or a cat but since there are allergies in my family I've only ever had goldfish. But of course every time we get a new one, I've named them after my obsessions (John Watson from Sherlock, Stevie from Good Mythical Morning, etc.)
If I had a cat, I would want a ginger one and I would name it Stampy after Minecraft youtuber Stampylonghead because he was my childhood!!! I would also love a dog, but idk what I would name it...
Maybe I'd take inspiration from the Star Wars modern AUs I've read and get two dogs named Artoo and Threepio!
