Couple of scavenging bums in a mine.

As always, Starscream's base needed energon.

As always, he was out and scavenging for more.

This mine, he thought, was particularly promising: it looked like it had been abandoned for a long time––some tunnels had collapsed, it seemed––but there was still plenty of fuel. Sure, it wasn't the most stable of mines, but what was the worst that could happen to Starscream? Getting caught in a cave-in? Pffft. Oh, yeah, that would hold him back SO long.

So he was collecting raw crystals in the mine and dumping them into an empty crate, enjoying the stillness and quiet...

And then he thought he heard a sound. He froze, arm still full of crystals, and then slowly, carefully, knelt down, and set them on the ground. He scooted back into a crevasse, sliding his wing sword into his hand, grimacing at the slight sound it made as it unfolded. Somebody else was here. He hoped it wasn't vehicons.
