I love drawing fantastic creatures and I like the stories by writer H. P. Lovecraft, so it was a matter of time to make this piece. Obviously inspired by the tale “The Call of Cthulhu”, described a group of sailors awakening by mistake the mighty monster, running for their lives.

I´m so sure you already know it.

The story inspired another stories, tales, board games, video games, drawings, sculptors, musicians, and several artists. I just join the party too. And take it as personal challenge.

Ah todos los de habla Hispana me gustaria decirles que actualmente estoy trabajando para una revista tipo Manga en Colombia con la historia titulada LEGENDARY. Espero de ser posible se den la oportunidad de Leerla .

Dicho esto les presento a Lance el protagonista de dicha historia,el primero es el diseño Original y el segundo esta echo por una de las personas que yo más admiro en este mundo ; El Maestro Magolobo que es un artista popular aqui en Mexico . Despues de años de admirarlo para mi es un honor que haceptara un ArtTrade con migo. El dibujo a Lance a su estilo y realmente lo ame!!!

Those are monstrous mexica deity (Aztecs) associated with stars. They were depicted as skeletal female figures who wants the humanity destruction. In Postconquest descriptions they are often described as "demons" or "devils". They always try to destroy the Sun in the dawn or sunset and those are more powerful on eclipse.

That´s one of several reasons why the aztecs needed blood offerings to the Gods: to preserve our Sun.
