update: keeping in touch

i won’t be deleting my blog but i will be moving to other, friendlier locations (quite frankly, tumblr can Get Fucked) and will follow fandom wherever it settles. 

hard to say where that might be right now - pillowfort seems a good place to start (once it’s back up) but i don’t think it could take a huge influx of new users all in one go. i’ve just created twitter and dreamwidth accounts - as so many of you are already on twitter it might be best to regroup there? staying in contact with people is the most pressing matter, i think.

another update and a fandom request :)

first of all, hello new followers! i don’t think i’ve ever had as much activity as i’ve had this week and i’m glad you could join me for the final days of tumblrgeddon XD 

i’m going offline this weekend so i won’t be responding to messages etc but i will be popping in to do some tiddie admin for the protest - we have a side blog launching soon so look out for that - and i still have a queue of stuff. 

which means that next week i will be posting fewer tiddies (though still some because i’m hella angry) and more fandom content. i’ve felt really weird and uncomfortable about doing any fandom blogging this past week* as it seemed like rolling over and accepting tumblr’s a-bullshit-too-far, but i think for the last full week of tumblr i want to go out in a blaze of fandom glory.

i’ll be reblogging my own older stuff - a greatest hits maybe? - and other people’s as well. so, a request - send me your stuff. send me what you think are your greatest hits. send me details of your latest redbubble sale or patreon offer or commissions or whatever it is that tumblr’s actions have cut short. i want to reblog as much as i can while we still can. any fandom i’ve been part of is welcome - hannibal, fb, jsamn. the past week has been very angry and stressful, but i want my blog to end with love for the wonderful people i’ve met here <3 (even if we haven’t met, don’t be shy, just send them in) 

otherwise i will be back on monday to start moving posts to my new blogs/accounts and trying to follow you all elsewhere.

*absolutely no shade on anyone who has felt differently and/or maybe needed extra comfort from fandom activity this week

nefarious plans update / psa

i’ve been meaning to do an update post for a long time but it seems i get atrociously single-minded when i’m working on a big project. so as a result lots of things didn’t get done and my flat is a disaster 

chalk that up as one of the things i’ve learned, i guess?

since that first post, i’ve been writing like crazy. there’s a whole bunch of unfinished fic i want to get through before i’ll have enough room in my head for anything original. the first of these is a multi-chapter fic i decided to use as trial run for novel writing (because why wait until writing a novel to learn how to write a novel) - i.e. with lots of drafting and re-writing and not rushing to post. what i didn’t anticipate was how much extra work that was going to mean and how much extra time (omg so much time) (omg i am so tired and grouchy) (i am a grouchy writer - another thing i learned)

now for the good news - the multi-chapter fic is nearly finished. which leads me on to the ‘psa’ part of this post.

by accident, rather than by design, soon you’ll see me posting a lot of fantastic beasts fic (starting from tonight!) and no hannibal at all. i will be writing some hannibal fic very soon but it’s all for future publication (ravage / fannibal fest) and i won’t be able to post it for ages. then the next hannibal project i have going on (quicksilver) will take me some time to complete, so there’s going to be a gap. i wanted to avoid that but *throws hands in air* what can you do?  

tl:dr if you’re into gradence/fantastic beasts then you’re in luck. if you’re just into my writing, you’re also in luck (i think there’s about one of you out there lol). if it’s just hannigram you’re into, i’m coming back for you later *points finger* 

and, finally, block the ‘fbawtft’ tag if you don’t want fantastic beasts content on your dash from me because my love for percival graves is going nowhere

once again, i apologise to anyone who ever left me a lovely, kind and thoughtful ao3 comment and had to put up with my lowercase, keyboard-smashing, exclamation-point doused response. tbh i don’t know how else to do it and i think the excitement of posting fic/getting comments leaves me with 10% functional braining and few other options.

btw i’m really pleased and happy with the response to project sailor cub so far - the fandom is small now but i am feeling the love, big time <333
