My child, the evil genius. My son is 17.5 months old and he is already making his evil plans.

The Smalls has discovered how to get toys from one of the other kids at childcare. That child is scared of dolls, so my kiddo picks up a doll and walks over, offering a toy trade. The other kid drops their toy and backs off.

My kid then puts the doll between himself and the other child to keep them away as he plays with the toy. Win!!!

Today, he went into a bedroom, then dropped to crawling so that he could sneak around and grab the house keys without the person on the bed realising. He then stood up and fled, cheering

Sorry it’s been a while! It’s been a busy than usual winter for me, but I’ve finally begun the process on my giveaway winner, @atalanta-black’s prize!

nefarious plans update / psa

i’ve been meaning to do an update post for a long time but it seems i get atrociously single-minded when i’m working on a big project. so as a result lots of things didn’t get done and my flat is a disaster 

chalk that up as one of the things i’ve learned, i guess?

since that first post, i’ve been writing like crazy. there’s a whole bunch of unfinished fic i want to get through before i’ll have enough room in my head for anything original. the first of these is a multi-chapter fic i decided to use as trial run for novel writing (because why wait until writing a novel to learn how to write a novel) - i.e. with lots of drafting and re-writing and not rushing to post. what i didn’t anticipate was how much extra work that was going to mean and how much extra time (omg so much time) (omg i am so tired and grouchy) (i am a grouchy writer - another thing i learned)

now for the good news - the multi-chapter fic is nearly finished. which leads me on to the ‘psa’ part of this post.

by accident, rather than by design, soon you’ll see me posting a lot of fantastic beasts fic (starting from tonight!) and no hannibal at all. i will be writing some hannibal fic very soon but it’s all for future publication (ravage / fannibal fest) and i won’t be able to post it for ages. then the next hannibal project i have going on (quicksilver) will take me some time to complete, so there’s going to be a gap. i wanted to avoid that but *throws hands in air* what can you do?  

tl:dr if you’re into gradence/fantastic beasts then you’re in luck. if you’re just into my writing, you’re also in luck (i think there’s about one of you out there lol). if it’s just hannigram you’re into, i’m coming back for you later *points finger* 

and, finally, block the ‘fbawtft’ tag if you don’t want fantastic beasts content on your dash from me because my love for percival graves is going nowhere
