Maguma kaiju species profile
In the nes godzilla creepypasta some obscure kaiju that are not directly from a godzilla movie but instead other toho productions show up in some levels as a cameo here's a few of them
Mushroom people from Matango 1963
Maguma from gorath 1962
gorosaurus from king kong escapes 1967
Manda from Atragon 1963
Almost- almost all the kaijus from the Showa era, not much left!
Maguma, aka Magma, the walrus-like reptilian kaiju from the film Gorath (1962).
His costume was later re-tooled and re-used as Todola in episode #27 of Ultra Q (1966).
Here is the next one that I have been slowly working on. Maguma is definitely one of the more underrated kaiju, which it deserves some love.
The best excuse for it to be in the Iceshard cliffs to include a large open area thats new. Since the map feels small for it to roam around. I have another area in mind thats entirely new that most of these redesigns go to.
Kori Maguma
A powerful leviathan of muscle of strength hailing from the Iceshard Cliffs. Bellowing roars that echo through the region. Breaking through glaciers with its body, and moving whole Ice columns with its powerful tusks.
Background:
Maguma’s encounter was a very rude awakening, when investigating yellow scales from across the lands. In the iceshard cliffs, we were met by a blangonga pack cornered with nowhere to go. Suddenly a large mound of snow began to shake as something rose from it, and we were met with a large monster.
It soon attacked the blangonga pack, eventually driving it off, letting out a howling roar that shook the area around us. It did glance at us for a brief moment, before walking off, leading to its discovery. Surprisingly there is no information about it at all, so it must be a new monster entirely.
Behavior/Ecology:
Kori Maguma is neutral at most, often roaming the ground levels of the cliffs, despite its large size it is able to maneuver around the region. The new open area which is large, and has large pools of fish is where it eats mostly. Next to it is a large lake of water that it swims around with large islands of ice where it can stay on to rest or sleep.
It's not challenged by any monster due to its size, which is why it's neutral, however it does not roam near where Jin Dahaad resides. The only monsters it will challenge is either Arkveld or Gojira, excluding Gore Magala due to the frenzy virus. This somewhat makes it an apex of the region, despite not being it.
Biology/Abilities:
Kori Maguma is able to handle the cold due to having blubber under its skin, this also helps it keep buoyancy when swimming through the water. Most of its strength comes from its muscles and blubber which also helps push heavy objects, and even break them with its body. At times in combat it can cause small tremors using its own weight, which every part of its body can when it exerts its strength.
Its head noticeably has two large tusks which are serrated behind them. These help it grip on any large boulder to either move, or throw when it's in combat. This is aided by two big tooths that also help with grip, which can also be used when hunting.
Given it being in an ice region it can also breathe Ice, however it does so through its howling roars similar to Akantor. Pushing but also freezing anything caught in it, which it can use its body to ram against anything that's frozen in place.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Kori Maguma are completely resistant to ice and water, with poison hardly affecting it due to its thick hide. Dragon is the only element that somewhat does something to it. Fire and thunder are ideal elements to use against it, along with blast and paralysis.
Kori Magumas main strength comes from its body which it uses to its full extent when in combat. Breaking parts of its body can help weaken its strength and even hinder its swimming capabilities. While the tail of it can be broken as well, it cannot be severed due to its strong hide.
Making use of its tusks and ice around to breathe through its howling roars can be dangerous in situations. Breaking its head can cause the Ice to weaken, and weaken its bite strength as well. It will also cause them to not be able to lift boulders of Ice or rock to use against hunters.
Other Info:
Frenzied variants of this monster are rare, but if one were to become, it is urgent to slay it as quickly as possible. These make Kori Maguma the most dangerous monsters in the cliffs if afflicted by the frenzy virus. However again it is rare, due to its hide being resistant.
Tempered variants of the monster remain neutral but are more bound to fight if a monster comes close. They have hardened tusks for stronger bite and grip, and have greater strength with their bodies. At most they can even sink large Ice islands which any caught can cause devastating damage.
