This song's actually got two different stories to it - or perhaps more accurately, two different interpretations of the same story. On one hand, and I think this is the one I originally had in mind when I started working on the track, it tries to capture Twilight's rather hectic first day in Ponyville and the warm welcome she received (even if she wasn't entirely receptive of it), eventually ending with her acceptance of her new friends and her embracing of a new life, radically different from the one she was used to. On the other, I think we can generalize that and say it's the warm welcome that Ponyville would give any newcomer. I think the latter interpretation is one that resonates more closely with us and better fits with the feel of the song, personally, but how you choose to read into it is entirely up to you.

"Fluttershy's always struck me as the kinda pony that values her alone time. I mean, yeah, no shit, right? But as someone who lives in a small house with a very loud family, that's one aspect of her that I've always felt I can really relate to. Alone time is worth its weight in gold. With this song, I tried to capture that most liberating sense of relief that accompanies a few hours of peace and quiet."
