Nur Fettahoğlu as Mahidevran Sultan MAGNIFICENT CENTURY (2011–2014)
ALICENT HIGHTOWER VARIANTS–
–and its the women of magnificent century lol 🥰
Is Mahidevran the most unfairly portrayed historical woman on TV?
Fiction:
Mahidevran is portrayed as a power abuser who treats her loyal servants terribly. She shows no gratitude for their loyalty or for everything they are willing to do for her. Instead, she forces them into cruel actions, and when she fears being exposed, she threatens to blame them and even physically abuses them.
Reality:
Historical accounts mentioned that her loyal servants remained by her side even after her income was cut and she lived in poverty following Mustafa’s death.
Fiction:
She prefers to remain in the capital and continue her rivalry with Hürrem over control of the imperial harem, rather than accompany her son to his province. She even tryed to delay him from going, despite this being big and most important step for a prince.
Reality:
Not only did tradition require a mother to accompany her son to his province, but it is also well documented that Mahidevran consistently supported him. In fact, she personally prepared his meals to ensure that no one could ☠️ or harm him.
Fiction:
She commits cruel acts out of jealousy and always escapes consequences thanks to Ibrahim and the Valide Sultan’s protection.
Reality:
Such actions would have been severely punished, and no one could have protected her. The historical Mahidevran would never have risked her own life or the life and future of her son in such a reckless way.
Fiction:
Unfortunately, not only in Magnificent Century but in many shows and documentaries, she is depicted as an insufferable, catty woman who constantly cried losing her position as the favored consort.
Reality:
She was neither the first nor the only consort of Süleyman. He had other concubines before, during, and after her. The harem was not a monogamous place, and before Hürrem, no concubine during Süleyman’s reign held a privileged or exclusive status with him.

The Magnificenf Century writers wrote Mahidevran as the evil one to boost their fave Hurrem. Such disrespect to the actual real life Mahidevran. But anyways I never saw Mahidevran in Magnificent Century or real life as the evil one. So…
Magnificent Century: Mahidevran

I put the two historical fictions on Momoro (one on Antoine François Momoro although his wife remains an important character in the fiction, the second story is on the life of Sophie Momoro after the execution of her husband) on A03 , here is the link

I will perhaps make another fiction on two other revolutionary women of the French Revolution (who are very forgotten to the point that some wonder if they existed the third would only make a fleeting but important appearance although she is better known, she is more demonized) but it would be totally fictional based only on a few true elements on the other hand. It is because it would be 97% of the interpretation totally fictional that I hesitate to start writing the story. Another possible idea is that I could do a one shot on Jacques Roux before he commits suicide in prison to refuse to hear a verdict that he knows is unfavorable and just like Momoro thinks about his life before dying. The last option but I need even more time would be especially on Charles Gilbert Romme. Finally concerning Roux or Charles Gilbert Romme it's not even that I do the publication. In any case my priority will be to finish the story of Mahidevran of the Ottoman Empire (I assure you that there is no question of demonizing Hurrem or other women in history, unlike Magnificent Century) that once finished I will translate it into English and put it on A03.
Reddit: Shame on me, I forgot to thank @enlitment who without her advice I would not have managed the fics on the site a03 as I am so bad at computers.
