I actually think that that’s going to come down to Misono, but Mahiru has become the bridge that facilitates the hope their relationship will be repaired. Which is another reason they work so well as a ship!! Baby brother approves of his future in law LMAOOO

Seriously Misono would be so excited at the prospect of becoming family with Mahiru. Mikado also can’t say shit because he owes Mahiru so much already, and frankly I think he’d also be more than happy to have someone like Mahi as a son-in-law (not that Mikuni would ever actually feel emotionally stable enough to get married). The whole HOUSE loves him.

Also they share hobbies too… And you KNOW Mikuni prefers to keep his living space clean. He’s good at budgeting undoubtedly. And we know thanks to TanakaBox that he trusts Mahiru quite a bit. The people who appear in Land of Nod on the website are Misono, Lily, Jeje (his family), Shuuhei (his friend), Tsurugi (who breaks in lmao) and Mahiru, who it’s implied works part time there. I like to think Mikuni allows him to do so just so he has an excuse to give MahiMahi a little pocket money while also teaching him a little bit about magical artifacts.

Also uhhh dead moms and grieving together and maybe I want Tooru to semi-adopt this bastard who so CLEARLY has massive daddy issues. Maybe I want Mahiru to have an extremely reliable and capable partner who will dote on him like crazy too, I mean

Anyway uhhhh, Misono reminds Mikuni that he is Good, because Misono has always been who Mikuni fights for the most, but… Mahiru helps him to be stable and claw his way back when he slips. But Mikuni’s biggest problem is one that Misono has already overcome. He doesn’t trust people. He views himself… As alone.

It's really surprising that Mahikuni and Tsurumahi are rarepairs, in the beginning of the manga I thought Mahikuni would be the most popular ship lol and then C3 arc happened and I thought Tsurumahi would take over,this was back when the manga started publishing I thought it was a BL

any ships that aren't kuromahi or lawlicht are pretty much rarepairs in servamp fandom

Mikuni has a collection of cursed/haunted dolls in Land of Nod that are loyal to him, Mahiru is creeped out at first but soon feels disheartened that Mikuni's "girls" are avoiding him (it's because they're scared of inner sloth)

Mikuni "it can't be helped. Of course they prefer a gentleman like me than a boorish teenager like you—IF YOU PUT ME IN A BOSTON CRAB LOCK IT COUNTS AS BOORISH"

Could we get another mahikuni?

misono comes up with the idea of rehabilitating mikuni by making him interact with normal people and the only reason mikuni play along with becoming mahiru's homeroom teacher is because he has heard that misono has befriended some kids from mahiru's class and he wants to see if they're worthy of misono (it's totally different from how mikado micromanaged misono's life)

mahiru keeps forgetting to call mikuni as "alicein-sensei" in school and mikuni explains to his new coworkers that he keeps getting called "mikuni-san" because mahiru is his little brother's friend so they've known each other for a while (three months)

mahiru and mikuni always walk home together because mikuni is still avoiding misono so mahiru is the one who gives report to misono about how mikuni's day went

this isn't very shippy but please just imagine teacher/student mikuni/mahiru based on what i've just said here
