I see a lot of trainer-Pokémon pairs wander in, working at the library. And as much as people say they love seeing trainers who perfectly match their Pokémon… I think my favorites are the Pokémon and trainers who look wildly mismatched.

The fashionista with a Grimer. The Team Skull grunt with a Cutiefly. The fisher toting around a Salandit.

Because to me, that shows there’s a love that goes so much deeper than appearances, or personality, or calling. It’s the sort of thing you hear stories about, you know?

By the by, why’s it been so busy here on Alola lately?

Huh? Pokémon World Championships? Wolfe Glick? Calyrex Ice Rider? …What’s any of that mean?

Out of everything I’ve learned about Minior while keeping Paperweight, one of the things that surprises me most is how low-impact their impacts are.

You’d think they’d crash into the ground hard enough to leave craters, but instead, many of them just float softly to the ground… I guess that flying type has to put in some work.

Since I'm busy repackaging a Stufful plush to send back to a child who left it here, I'm curious: did any of you ever wind up obtaining a Pokémon later on in life that you had a plush of as a child?

Me, I had this plush Elgyem, but I never did wind up finding a real life alien. Well. Not that specific kind of alien.

Just once, I’d love to go surfing through the stars on Lunala’s back, like the legends say… that’s definitely a pipe dream though, haha!

I have to admit, if I knew part of being a librarian meant receiving cardigans as gifts constantly, I might have reconsidered a bit…

That, and books. Guardians, how many books can I get. The entire point of a library is taking them out for free!! My bookshelf cannot hold that much! Some day or another I’m going to discover a Pokémon made of unread books with how many I have piled up…

Oh my gosh. I saw somebody walking a baby stroller into the library today, but didn’t get a good glimpse at first. They walk up to the desk. I look down.

There’s a Gible in the baby stroller.

Love my job so much.

I love science fiction! Maybe because living in Alola feels like “science reality”.
