The number of Casdreel AUs I have kicking around in my head is alarming.
College AU where Gadreel and Cas meet at a frat party. Gadreel is drawn to Cas, who's awkwardly standing off to the side and clutching a drink he hasn't taken a single sip of all night (not that Gadreel's been watching him.) Gadreel goes to talk to him and learns his story, and they become cutie friends.
...Alternatively, an AU where Cas and Gadreel wake up from a crazy, drunken one night stand. Their respective friends have never seen them party so hard and be so crazy for another person. Cue "it was just a one night stand, it doesn't mean anything" rivaling actual feelings and stuff. (This was inspired from hearing Stay With Me too many times on the radio.)
Coffeeshop AU where law student!Gadreel is a regular customer at the shop Cas works at, and there's enough fluffiness and cuteness to rot your teeth.
And the College AU I really wanna write where Cas brings Gadreel home for Christmas because Gadreel has no where else to go. Cue holiday family shenanigans with Cas' four older siblings as Cas and Gadreel ~realize their feelings~; also, mild Michifer on the side. ("Cas, I think Michael and Lucifer are....involved." "We don't talk about it.")
There's more, but these are the most fleshed out ones I have so far. Dumb babies and their cuteness.
Title: Camp-fire.
Fandom: Supernatural.
Pairings: Implied Michael/Lucifer but other than that, none.
Description: Human!AU. Angel family on a camping trip.
Side-notes: This was for Erin under request and it's writing block blaster. I hope this is okay?
When was the last time they could afford something like this? Most of the older siblings worked their asses off for pay, and the younger ones had to gain good grades or else its back to homeschooling. Chuck had no time for schooling his own kids, which was sad in itself. Michael worked at the nearest Wal-Mart, and Lucifer at a close fast-food restaurant. Raphael wasn’t employed, and Gabriel wasn’t fit for employment. Castiel, Gadreel, and Hannah were high-school students, too young for a small job. And the rest of Chuck’s fifteen children were either toddlers or preteens. He was a single father, living in an old house on the end of the block. He could admit they were poor, but he wouldn’t admit they were hopeless. His family was his life, his love, and he did his best to educate them. He brought them to church on Sundays, paid for their education with what he had, and did his best to prepare them a good meal each night. On occasion, if the family gathered enough money, Chuck would take them out on weekend vacations.
“Anything?” Gabriel’s voice called as he came back with more bait. He was usually cheery, but now he was just bored. They’d been fishing for an hour, and no catch. Michael sighed, reeling back his fishing rod with the worm bit in two. The fish were there, swarming around the lake, as if taunting them. He had no intention of letting down his father, so Michael recast his rod and began his wait again. “Afraid not, but they’re obviously there.” Gabriel dropped his bag of worms and crickets carefully next to the ice-chest, which was empty besides a few soda cans, “I hate fish.” “Tell me about it.” Raphael was sitting alone a few ways away from the brothers, sharpening a few sticks with her pocket-knife. Raphael was the only member of the family that was adopted. She was African American, with beautiful dark eyes and raven black hair. Her siblings never thought different of her; she felt at home. After finishing with her stick, she came back to the brother duo, “Here, use this.” Michael eyed the crudely carved staff, noticing she attached her knife to the end. It was like a homemade lance, but Michael didn’t buy it. “I rather fish with a rod, thank you.” Raphael rolled her eyes and thrust the staff into the pond, scattering most of the fish. “Hey!” Gabriel shouted, “You scared our catch-!” Raphael pulled the lance back up, revealing three bloody fish hooked onto the end. “Oh, cool.” Gabriel shrugged and helped his siblings tug the meat off.
“Daddy?” Chuck felt a tug on his sleeve. Turning his attention from his writing, he straightened his reading glasses, “yes, Ezekiel?” The seven year old boy with curly ginger hair looked scared, which surprised his father. “What’s wrong?” “Are there monsters in these woods, daddy?” Chuck frowned and looked back at the forest behind them. “..No. No there isn’t, Zeke. And if there were, Mike and Luce will protect you.” The little boy smiled big, “Okay!” He scampered off towards his siblings just as Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel walked into the firelight, holding an ice-chest full of fish. Lucifer looked up from his porn magazine with interest. “So, the warrior finally kills his prey.” He joked as he stood up, ready to help skin the fish of their soft, mushy scales. Michael rolled his eyes at his younger brother, handing the chest to him. “We’ll see how much slaying I do in our tent tonight.” Lucifer’s eyebrows rose high, “is that so?” He slapped Michael’s ass when Michael bent over to stoke the fire, “we’ll see!” Michael kicked Lucifer in his shin. “It looks like we’re eating fish tonight, guys!” Gabriel grinned as he sat next to Gadreel, who started asking questions about their fishing trip. Raphael sat near Castiel, peering over the boy’s shoulders in order to watch him draw. Lucifer tugged Michael to his tent, where the two started rebuilding it, but not without insults and colorful words strung out against each other. Chuck sighed cheerfully. His family had fights, his family had quarrels, but they were a family.
This is pure crack, and I blame ratpenatu and mahoushoujo-michael via this post for this nonsense lmao. Michael is just super invested in his novelas, okay.
So few of humanity's creations manage to move and inspire Michael's holier-than-thou, millennia-old core quite like soap operas, and few things manage to entertain Lucifer so in return.
Every afternoon, Michael can be found bundled up on the couch, eyes glued to the television screen like it will kill him to look away. Sure enough, Lucifer rouses from his afternoon nap to find Michael leaning on the edge of his seat, muscle in his jaw twitching as a woman shrieks on the show. Rubbing his sleep-mussed hair, Lucifer leans against the wall beside the television and cautiously eyes Michael.
"Brother," Lucifer all but purrs, but Michael doesn't fall for the bait.
"Go away."
"Did Fernando die?"
"What?"
"The one dating Rosie."
"Luce, Juan is dating Rosie. Well, he was dating her, but that was before she discovered he was sleeping with her identical twin sister, Emilia. But Emilia lied to Juan about her identity so she could see if Juan really killed Diego, Emilia's now ex-boyfriend, so the fault level is grey at best."
"...Uh huh. Then who's Fernando?"
Michael sighs like this is elementary knowledge, and Lucifer bites his cheek to keep from laughing.
"Fernando is Juan's cousin, who was best friends with Diego and also secretly the father of Emilia's daughter, Blanca, and can you please be quiet now, because we just found out that Rosie might have an incurable disease, and you're bringing down the mood."
Lucifer squints hard at Michael, no judgement reserved. Silence falls between the two of them, only broken by a woman crying out in Spanish that has Michael's eyes widening a fraction.
Michael doesn't look up as Lucifer pads across the room, pressing a kiss to the top of Michael's head.
"You're strange. But it's a cute strange."
Michael heaves a deep breath at the television as Rosie cries at Emilia over the phone, and Lucifer nuzzles into Michael's hair, hiding his smile.
caff i require your expert opinion on the sorting into Hogwarts houses of the archangels
well im honestly pretty certain they’d all be slytherin but that’s no fun so
raphael is definitely slytherin. cunning, ambitious, traditional, a slight tendency towards elitism, like cmon how much more slytherin can you GET. i do suppose he has some shades of ravenclaw tho.
gabriel would be ravenclaw, i think. he’s clever and witty and tricky, mischievous and resourceful but not particularly bold or ambitious. although his bravery, righteousness and heroicism suggest he could just as well be gryffindor. idk.
michael and lucifer………………………………………………..
my first instincts put lucifer in slytherin. arrogance and cunning and ‘a certain disregard for the rules’ is very lucifer, as well as the whole snake symbolism thing, but„„, idk, theres something off about that? and he’s very gryffindor too in a way, with his independence and his readiness to rebel for what he believes to be right.
and michael’s a bit of everything. the bravery, self righteousness and heroic tendencies of gryffindors; the ambition and leadership skills of a slytherin; the loyalty and hard-workingness of a hufflepuff; he’s even somewhat ravenclaw. im really tempted to say gryffindor for him, merely for the loyalty and hard-work and obedience bits, butttttt. hrrrrrk.
if i was forced to put them in one house each i ggggggguesss it would be raphael = slytherin, gabriel = ravenclaw, lucifer = gryffindor and michael = hufflepuff. but i could be wrong. and at the end of the day they really are all slytherins.
