Hi Krista!  Thank you for the ask this is so sweet!!

Hmm 3 facts about me.

1. I’m only 5′0.  The height measure at Little Caesars however says I’m 5′1 and I don’t care I’m taking it.

2. I had to do etiquette lessons as a kid.  My mom would sit down with me every Sunday and we’d go over proper etiquette for things like fancy dinners, when to send a thank you card, when I was supposed to curtsy, etc.  We were ... deeply blue collar?  My mom was just adamant that my brother and I would make a good impression if we were ever invited anywhere fancy.

3. I read a lot of poetry.  I like words.  I like words arranged beautifully just for the sake of beauty.  I like a turn of phrase so sharp that it gets stuck in your throat for days.  I like these emotional elegies and the small ghosts of it they produce in their readers.  I’ve long stopped caring about “understanding” them and instead just focused on enjoying them.

For the 3 6 random facts:

I have always had an irrational phobia about phone calls. I hate talking on the phone. I used to hide when the phone rang. I DON’T KNOW WHY! ITS IRRATIONAL!

I get a monthly subscription from amazon of... Nexcare acne patches. I didn’t have Great skin as a teenager but adult acne has truly been my hell. This random fact was brought to you by me looking at my desk and seeing two packs of them. I really recommend them though!!!!!!!!

My current culinary obsession is agua de jamaica, and when we got some at work today (we had a taco party)... I genuinely cried, and drank two huge cups. And then tried to convince everyone to have some. Everyone brave enough to try it loved it!!! Everyone else was weak.

I was trying to make a playlist a week as like... a musical time capsule of the year for myself, but quarantine (or rather, my lack of it), really killed the project and honestly I’ve had a lot of days where I just sat in the dark game room after work and listened to Doom Days on repeat.

which honestly makes me upset bc that was the 2nd song I listened to at the beginning of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It DID set the precedent for the year.

I’ve seen Halsey multiple times now, at least 3 or 4 I think? I think I can safely say she’s my favorite artist. You know what they say about us Jersey girls :)

I usually associate tarot cards with my characters (”usually” as in “always” but go off Kit), and I’ve done associations for friends and stuff when they ask... But for myself, I go for the Suit of Swords (normally I say either the Three of Swords or Eight of Swords).... and I tend to draw them for myself as well. I drew Queen of Swords today!

Coconut

My favorite part of Coco will forever be her teenage rebellion. Like I love every part of Coco to bits, but she truly was an icon standing up to her uptight mother and Casper being Casper. And she looked great doing it. I do regret not having her dye her hair or anything post leaving the house, because I do think she’d have gone back to it when she was feeling comfortable with her life, but oh well.

Gale

While there’s always a bunch of things I want to change about everything I’ve previously written, Gale’s Story included, I absolutely loved writing it and revealing all the little things about him that I’d hinted towards all along. His parents, his sister, his relationship with Casper, they were all so much fun to write and they gave a little glimpse into my own personal universes raw community. While there’s still a lot to explore there, his story was the stepping stone.
