OC Eye Study 1

the first batch of my oc eye study is complete! I really enjoyed doing this (can you guess who is who?) and I think I’ll do at least one more set soon.

Meanwhile...

(Fallout AU, Maibrit belongs to @justanartsysideblog and Lela belongs to @feynites)

“C’mon Sparkplug, the radar picked up some weird anomaly and with the boys gone, it’s up to us to figure it out!” Maibrit declares as she scales up another rock.

Lela glances around, hands twitching nervously as she scans the horizon, “We’re outside of the Vault, we have to be careful, it’s dangerous out here.”

“Dangerous shmangerous. Hand me the radar gun?” Maibrit holds her hand out and Lela hands it over. She switches the things on and swivels it around, scanning...scanning. Aha! There you are you little bugger. Maibrit holsters the gun and makes her way to a small copse of blown apart trees. 

They make it over the small hill and gape at what lays before them. It looks to be a small sliding crater of some sort, clearly created by some massive impact. 

The minor earthquake that wasn’t actually an earthquake they measured the other day....

Oh. OOOH! YES! YES YES YES! 

She makes an excited noise and practically barrels after the trail left by whatever made the impact. Something large, something that was high, something that flew. And as far as she knew, there was no bug or bird irradiated enough to be this large and actually be able to fly. 

They run and stop suddenly as they come to a sharp drop off. But Maibrit is grinning and smiling because she was RIGHT! Her and Rissa were so RIGHT!

“What...what is that?” Lela asks and Maibrit fist punches the air.

“That is an alien space pod! This changes everything!” Maibrit declares brightly before shimmying down the slope. 

Rissa is gonna freak!

For the oc falling in love: Amris is a half elven druid/monk raised by a militant apocalyptic cult. She ran away after they killed a whole town and told her it was her fault bc she had befriended a girl there. Amris is tall and a little awkward, all long limbs and wild hair, with flowers and vines all tangled in it. Shes painfully shy and tends to ramble when shes nervous, which is most of the time. She's very sweet tho, and very gay, and she dresses like a 6yr old let loose in a ren faire.

Maibrit loves girls that ramble, she finds it adorable. And she understands running away from shitty people that guilt trip you and are all around horrible. They can be wild hair gfs!

What are some of your characters favorite animated movies, and why?

Olwyn - Moana. Finally, a character with hair like hers! Who goes on adventures! And Balto, because wolves, obviously. She would not stop asking for a dog afterwards, and named the first puppy she got (that Wintersend, because Victory is WEAK) Balto. They had many adventures. And The Pagemaster, because the idea of going into and living in all those books was amazing. The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde part gave her nightmares for weeks the first time she watched it though. And of COURSE Princess Mononoke. Wolves. Princesses. True Love. It was gorgeously animated and the story was gripping. 

Cirimeni - The Last Unicorn. She really loved the art style when she first saw it, and would beg her family all the time to let her rent it from the video store. It was one of the only movies she’d get because she loved it so much. Also the Swan Princess. She loved Odette, and when she was younger she really hoped she’d go through a transition like Odette did, and get really beautiful after being gangly and picked on for her looks as a child. She never thought she managed that, but we all know better. And The Thief and the Cobbler, the original, where the Cobbler was mute. She connected with him instantly. Oh my goodness Thief, now I want a Thief and the Cobbler AU for Chantilly. XD

Maibrit - Titan A.E. It’s SPACE. It was underrated SPACE and Maibrit is forever salty that it didn’t get more recognition. Rock-A-Doodle, she thought it had flair. And Once Upon a Forest because the music was grand, and she also wanted to build a Flap-A-Wing-A-Ma-Thing.

Ship - Lela/Maibrit. AU's - Soulmark AU or A/B/O?

Soulmark AU (because I am a sucker for this trope)

Maibrit’s family wants her to take over and marry another dwarven crime syndicate heir, which means pulling out all the stops to keep her from finding Lela. The soulmark must be removed at all costs to keep her from going against the family, and as a child she tragically loses her left hand where the soulmark lies in an accident. Unfortunately for the family, Maibrit’s an extremely gifted child with photographic memory...and even before she could read had memorized the name. Now older and the head of her crime family, she can’t put off marrying her fiance any longer...and that’s when Arisas sends her a picture of a blue-eyed qunari woman with a bright smile...and Maibrit’s name across her right hand. 

Send me a ship and two AUs and I’ll tell you which AU I’d write for that ship.
