"I'd sure like t' know!" Remy replied, glancing over his shoulder at Kara. It definitely seemed like someone or something was attacking the city. The power outage could have been done by technological means, but the negative emotions? That was something else, and was definitely bad. He was still concerned over Death's continued silence, but he was too busy keeping an eye out for others to see if he could help them. "In my experience, de ones who pull shit like dis want people t' know dey're doin' it, so I'm waitin' for a big announcement, sooner or later!" Erik always seemed to want people to know when things were his doing, and from what Remy had seen of Loki, he definitely fit that bill too. So he could only assume whoever was behind this would make their presence known at some point.

This was just one of many moments where Daisy had her back pressed to a wall, uncertain of where to go, and wanting nothing more than to just… not have powers. That off switch that had been there before would have been nice to have now. Just to protect the planet from her. Because the ground rumbled and Daisy had felt sick enough, she wasn’t sure if it was her or Rictor, or someone else.

She had come to Kara, seeking her out across the city because she knew that Robbie — or whatever version of him that was out there — wouldn’t help. (Not because she wouldn’t ask, but because he had some twisted sort of code that wouldn’t stop her before it was too late.) But the building rumbled again, and Daisy took in a sharp breath and she looked at Kara.

Kara kept checking her phone and Daisy didn’t blame her — she doubted Kara had any idea of why she was there at all, instead of chasing down people in the street or trying to help in the middle of all the chaos. (Choking on her powers, she’d maybe say. But the reality was, there were few people who could hold her back if needed. And she didn’t know how to ask Kara to do that without it being a whole thing.)

“Are they safe?” Daisy asked, looking at Kara when she checked her phone again, assuming she was talking to Alex, looking for updates on her and the baby. “I saw her earlier,” Daisy admitted, a silent admission she had been better earlier too.

The counter was cracked. It wasn’t a subtle, small crack, either --- it was a big one, the kind that meant a soft breeze would probably finish the job and break the whole thing in half. Yara was already trying to construct a story in her head, already planning on blaming the damage on Jon or Jerry or a villain breaking into the apartment and forcing her to valiantly defend their home, but a voice sounded behind her and she realized she might not get the chance.

Wincing, Yara turned around. Kara stood in the doorway, looking onto the scene. She didn’t seem angry but, then, this wasn’t her apartment. Yara glanced back to the broken counter in dismay. It wasn’t her fault the thing was so cheaply made, was it? “I... bumped it,” she admitted with a grimace. “I didn’t think it would do that.” She sighed, tapping her finger against the counter. It creaked. The crack grew a few inches. Yara groaned. “Do you think the others will notice?”

The sound the car made hadn’t been a good one. It was a rarity when anyone in the bat-family trusted him enough to tie his shoes, let alone park one of their vehicles, and it was for a good reason, clearly.

“What deducted the points? Was it the part where I scraped against the side of the garage, or where I hit the wall when I opened the door?”

Both he and Supergirl stared down at the damages done to the sleek exterior of a car that probably cost more than Gar would ever make in a lifetime. “Think you can punch that out?” He joked, pointing to the large dent in the driver-side door. Kara wasn’t a tattle-tale, he didn’t think. She’d probably made a few mistakes in her super-awesome hero career (bridges, anybody?), but she probably looked a lot cooler doing it.

And also didn’t have to face the wrath of Bruce Wayne or Tim Drake. “Maybe they won’t notice.”
