RULES: Don’t take more than a few minutes. Don’t think too hard. They don’t have to be great works of the gaming industry, just games that have affected you in a positive way. Then tag some friends including me so I can see your list.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Star Wars Episode One: Racer
Earthbound/Mother series
Pikmin
The Elder Scrolls: Arena
Metroid Prime series
I spent most of my time making this list spacing out at memories of these games. Ocarina of Time was was the first game I played, before I even owned an N64, and Majora's Mask is my favourite Zelda game. Star Wars: Racer was the first game that I actually owned and was basically so rad. For those of you who can't/don't want to remember Episode 1, Qui-Gon bet Anakin's freedom from slavery on his performance in a podrace, and this game is based on podracing. Earthbound is weird and surreal, and basically goes without saying. It's sick-wicked. Play it. I never actually beat Pikmin because I suck at micro-management, but oh I tried. I did better in Pikmin 2 because of no time limit, but I poured hours into both. The Elder Scrolls: Arena is a super old game that is hard as balls, like to the point where people who worked on Skyrim can't beat it, but after SO MUCH saving and reloading, I absolutely destroyed it. Apparently a lot of people had difficulty with the tutorial dungeon, but it wasn't that difficult.
Ah, Metroid Prime. You get a paragraph all to yourself. Yeah. It's theonly shooting game I have ever been any good at, even when I'm not auto-targeting. Looking back, I'm pretty sure these are the games I've spent the most time on, considering how I've collected 100% of the power ups in all three. Exploring was what I found the most enjoyable part of the games, which was probably how I ended up finding everything.
Anyway yeah. That's me and video games. The end????? I spent too much time on this silly list with its silly descriptions about why I like things. Let's move on. aerosecho! unholyfruitbasket! maidofkarkat! I'm curious about the games you play. You don't have to if you don't want to though, but whatever. Also wavesinjuly, even though you are my literal brother, in the familial way, and that means I know everything about you already.
