March 30. Today was mailing day!!!!! I only know because I had to walk right by the truck as I was getting to stats (where I def failed the quiz today). Kinda odd that as a member of the URC I still didn’t definitively know mailing day was today but hey it wound up working out. The truck looked so cute and Kathryn and the other admissions officers were there looking cute in ~Pantone 292~ and they had a lil photoshoot (I saw on Facebook) and they were decorating the truck before it went off and it was all very festive. Main reason I want to continue being part of the URC is to do shit like that.
So congrats to all of you who got into college so far, and a special congrats from us if you got into Columbia!!! This year the acceptance rate was 5.8%, which is including the like 14% rate of ED applicants, so if you just got in, you’re a fucking wizard. Two of my favorite seniors texted and snapped me letting me know they got in, and I get to see them soon because they’re visiting! Yes, note to pre-frosh, you do really want to do Days on Campus if you can, it’s really informative and a lot of fun. If you can’t make it, though, there are plenty of other days to visit, so fret not!
In other exciting news Columbia also opened up the lawns today, so I spent the majority of my day either giving a tour or sitting on the lawn and decidedly not studying for stats.
