Introductory ages. Mark met Cecil when he was a kid. Cecil has been working with Nolan for well over 20 years and probably met Mark when he was a kid. Cecil is more like his uncle to me and like thinking of the dynamics of Nolan and Cecil, he probably kind of is. Probably saw Mark on holidays and saw Debbie carrying him around with a pacifier and a plushie. Having seen him grow up kinda makes me uncomfortable like it’s groomy like a bit pseudo-incestuous like why are you pursuing him. you saw him grow up. And Cecil being among the people mark cares about deeply (the way we see on the latest season) like kind of settles that down in my mind that Mark has to know Cecil for a very long time.

Markcil shippers piss me off bc they just focus on ohhh muh age gap yaoi. Brother. The Grooming. The Grooming.

Mark’s and Conquest’s relationship is like totally different. I have said too much about them lately so I’ll just keep it short: Mark is the first to see Conquest with something that isn’t fear or disgust after ages, Conquest confesses his deepest feelings to Mark just when he thinks Mark’s about to die, Conquest a FREAK, Mark would be finding a long term partner and discovering he’s kind of a freak himself, Mark could genuinely teach him what being a person is like, and most importantly, Conquest’s devotion would do Things to Mark. I just know. There are little situations like theirs. Paraphrasing one of my mutuals, the closest thing in the real world would be to find out the two guys who beat each other nearly to death in a parking lot are soon getting married.
