Does anyone ever think about how the elves and some Maiar went to Nùmenor in the second age?

Or that the princes and princesses of Nùmenor were names after the Valar and even some Maiar or the Trees of Valinor or the Silmarils themselves (yes I know it's words semantics but I mean)

Does anyone ever think how the Maiar that went to Nùmenor must have thought when Tar-Amandil innocently names his daughter MAIREN because like, obviously in Nùmenor they knew Mairon just by the names Gorthaur and Sauron, but they must have been surprised.

Immagine this girl meeting Eönwë and bearing the name of his old friend.

Here's a new addition to the Cursed Names from the Legendarium List; Mairen, daughter of Amandil (no not the well known one, Elros's grandson)

Her name is literally just the feminine version of Mairon...

Someone really said 'let's name our child after Sauron'

Not to mention there's an Aulendil who's her uncle. I think the corruption of Numenor started waaaay earlier then previously thought.

Also Eonwe was in Numenor helping out for a while, and well like many others I headcanon him as being a good friend to Mairon once upon a time. So I'm not saying that he told them a lot of really happy stories about Mairon and forgot to mention the Sauron part but I'm also not not saying it. (This is canon in my Niennandil-verse AU)

I am SO delighted with this picture that @captainderyn did of my OC Reanden, and @andveryginger 's OC Mairen! These two dorks look SO good -- CaptainDeryn did an AMAZING job with them! Go commission them -- they're such a great artist!

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go back to staring at this and squeeing incessantly. 😉
