This was a quick test for a potential webtoon or tapas format for my Maite project. I don't yet have a computer fit for art, but I downloaded FireAlpaca to the laptop I am borrowing. The "linework" was sketched on plain paper.
I am going back and forth on using some of the raunchier dialogue I've written for the project (If I make it at all). The setting I have in mind, inspired by the Mediterranean during the late Bronze Age is a bit darker than some of the materials I've previously written.
Within the story, Maite is a fugitive traveling alongside a phoenician-greek noble: Lykao. To protect her identity, Maite usually dresses as a man who most people assume was castrated. Her and Lykao's odd buisiness partnership often draws inquiry wherever they travel.
I'm also debating over modifying Lykao's name to be more hellenized, phoenician, or allude to his sub-saharan african ancestry. All of this is to say that that his name may change by the time I come closer to deciding whether or not I will pursue this project.
