Ah, he knew that chakra. Though he had extinguished use of his eyes, Hashirama’s cells still gave him the Sage’s ability to sense living things, rendering him with some way of perceiving the world. Behind bars and copious amounts of sealing jutsu not even the Hokage could disengage alone, the man sat in the lotus position, listening, perceiving. Catching glimpses through fragmentary snippets of the guards who thought he couldn’t hear them, of vibrations in the earth. Subtle things he shouldn’t have been able to. Yet, when he sensed a particular kind of chakra and the paths running through the man that wielded it, Madara barely concealed the smirk upon his lips when the man himself entered.
