It was the civil unrest that brought him to France. The entire country was knee deep in blood and chaos. A perfect setting for Cain. The numerous rebellions were complete bloodbaths. The French Revolution and the decades that followed it were just what Cain needed to blend in. Easier to hide in chaos. His boots echoed on the cobblestones as he proceeded down an alleyway. Shadowy figures hunched against the walls. Cain paid them no mind until he felt a light touch to his left pocket. A quick grab and twist of the wrist belonging to the attempted pickpocket, he sneered, “I have nothing for you.”
