What severity of head injury can cause LOC, temporary amnesia, and phys. therapy for fine motor skills? I'm working out details, but the character falls off a bridge into a river (2-3 meters), hit his head on a rock while under and lose consciousness. He is rescued within a minute or two. Other; 17 y/o pianist, ambulance gets there quick. Preferably, he regains full motor skills, but realistically...? Out of curiosity, what happens if a concussion DOES lead to coma? Thanks for your amazing blog!
Hey there! Welcome to… The Head Injury Zone! *creepy musicplays*
Honestly, a concussion/mTBI with post-concussion syndrome seemslike it would fit your character rather nicely. Fine motor control typicallyreturns very quickly, but can stay problematic for months or for years, orcould even be permanent.
In terms of his pianoplaying, it’s an excellent recovery tool if he has the patience for it, but itwill obviously be very frustrating that he can’t simply do what he used to do.Regaining full motor skills is definitely possible! It may even help his workethic about practicing, since now he knows what it’s like to not be able toplay to the level he’s used to and doesn’t want to lose it ever again.
A concussion leading to a coma is a WHOLE OTHER SERIES OFPOSTS and is thus outside the scope of answering it as an aside to a concussionquestion. Sorry. I want to help, but that’s a project best done in a series.
Best of luck to you and yours,
xoxo, Aunt Scripty

2/2: Mina growled, he didn't stop, so she spun and barked, but that didn't work either. I had to get his owner to call him away. The trainer said her behavior was dangerous and could escalate into her getting hurt, and I should correct her. I don't know how, so he suggested MilanStyle leash yanks and kicks. If my dog is already stressed out, how will scaring her more help? He just shrugged and assured me my dog would be injured one day. So in a moment like that, are those techniques appropriate?
1/2: My 14 y/o cocker spaniel isn't great at interacting with other dogs, (my fault). Last time I went to the dog park, the dog trainer on watch gave me some dubious advice. My dog was on leash and a couple of big dogs rushed her. They sniffed each other, one ran off and the other stayed and starting licking her junk enthusiastically, which she hates. She was spayed when she was 7 and has no infections (the vet checked), so I don't know what was going on there. It was a male puppy, if that helps
No, you were right to be dubious, he’s just another Cesar worshipper who has no idea what he’s doing when it comes to dog training. Your dog did nothing wrong and there was nothing there to indicate that your dog would be dangerous in any way shape or form, what she did was perfectly normal dog behavior.

I can totally see these dorks doing this. I drew this for @nico-benriya; hope you feel better soon!
