I've been fighting demons for the past two days trying to identify a song damn near obsessively. Posting about it because it actually made me feel crazy.
So basically I heard a song on one of my Spotify Daylists (don't come for me, it's my favorite feature). I've never heard it before, but it's so incredibly familiar. I could hear a different song in my head, the same beat, same note progression, almost same tone of voice. The one I knew I remember being deeper and a little darker in tone. I kept humming it, the lyrics completely escaping me, but like, right on the edge of my brain.
Just now, I fucking found it. I was searching reddit for somewhere to just ask for help, when the title wormed it's way out of my brain. I damn near cried in relief. Is that weird?? Like, it was almsot physically painful that I couldn't remember this damn song. Anyways, theyre below. 'On The Run' is the new song, and 'Childhoods End' is the old song that I couldn't remember.
Can someone confirm or deny that these sound the same??
