"Oh aren't you just the most precious little good ol' boy..."
"See, I'll accept good ol' boy, but precious? Little? Now that I take offense to...
"Though I suppose it's better than bein' a washed up old man - those lenses strong enough for you, paw?"
//Incoming Transmission: Source- Unknown// And yet, it has been the case time and time again that the needs of the people were either outright ignored or superceded by the profits of corporations that pay well, in terms of taxes, to the UEG, which in turn pays out the budget of the UNSC. Perhaps saying that the government wishes it's people to die was, indeed, a bit of an exaggeration... but i Think we can both agree that there is something wrong with profits over people. //End Transmission//

Of course I can agree that profit over people is a negative, why wouldn’t it be? But the UNSC, the UEG, these aren’t necessarily your antagonists here, and neither is the CAA.
Your problem lies in a mix of over population, and basic human nature, tendency towards greed and abuse of power. People getting into office based on money and popularity instead of a genuine plan to help the people. There's no grand conspiracy here to keep people down, and if there is, the UNSC isn't party to it.
I'll agree that the system needs a genuine overhaul, but contend that rebellion is a poor way to go about affecting that change, particularly when your own 'movement' isn't singular but composed of dozens of viewpoints. It seems like the only unifying trends about you all is that the UNSC/UEG/CAA is wrong and that killing people sends a message.
Profits over people is wrong, but so is sacrificing lives of civilians to make your points known.

//Incoming transmission: Source - Unknown// Intel says you're the 'empathetic' Spartan, Sierra-104. Tell me, how does an empathetic man justify resorting to the most intimate of methodologies when eliminating enemies? How do you call yourself... humane, gentle, caring or invested in others, when you watch the life fade from your target's eyes? Do you shut down, separate? Empathy, ethics, aren't mechanical functions you know... //end transmission//
Fred-104's eyes narrowed, as he looked over the message on his TacPad. For a moment, the decision to report what seemed like a systems infiltration warred with curiosity and the strangely foreign sense of anger, as he re-read the message twice. //Response Transmission//Band - Unknown//I've been called that from time to time, whoever you are, and I contend that every soldier has to be able to detach their duty from themselves and their emotions. We're asked to do things that the rank and file don't understand - we have to be able to separate. I do believe we call it PTSD when we can't separate those things anymore, or reconcile the things we've had to do with the situation and duty at hand.I don't enjoy watching people die. I don't enjoy watching members of the Covenant die either. But I do what needs to be done because at the end of the day, it's them or me, and I'm not about to roll over and die just yet. //End Transmission////Send - Y? N?//
