It seemed he didn't quit singing - ever. The guards were annoyed, and they ended up muting any and all sound coming from his containment chamber.
Olivier, fed up with this atrocious behavior, had consulted the King. They had confirmed this Alex - or whatever it was - was a doppleganger, as the real one was in the realm of Jikan, in a far reaching continent to the west, doing some work for the Peace Core.
With that, the King went down himself to see. They all had thought some of the people arriving were pranks, but now this one, it wasn't a prank. The real Alex was somewhere else.
Olivier accompanied him, opting to deal with other issues as he entered the room where Alex was being kept.
He was a tall man, about 6'4", with long, curly black-brown hair that went to just before his breasts. He stood tall and proud, with one of those personas that demanded respect as soon as you saw it.
He had a dead serious look on his face, and simply stared at Alex as he walked in, and the volume was turned on so he could hear whatever Alex would say now.

The Elric boys committed the same thing. All the elements are here to bring him back. Maybe Olivier will be happy again.... That was the first thought of the Major, as he thought of the man that served next to him in the Ishvalan Campaign, as a friend and now, a brother-in-law. Joseph went too early.
