Kaidan’s pausing, fork mid-way to his mouth as he turns his head to look at Ashley, brow raising over the mound of food on the utensil. “I’ve no idea what it is and I don’t want to ask, it tastes good. I don’t need it ruined.” He’s finally taking a bite, chewing it over and nodding towards the kitchenette. ”If you hurry you might be able to get some before Vega and Cortez eat the rest.”

The Lieutenant-Commander's gaze holds steady to figuring out just what the Major's eating. Her stomach rumbles quietly at both the sight and the smell of whatever it is.

"That's fair. And hah, yeah, no kidding, huh?" She laughs, but soon follows his direction, getting a plateful of whatever concoction Vega and Cortez are going to eat the remainder of, and takes a seat next to Kaidan. "Shame we're still on duty. It'd be nice to sit back with a vid and a few beers."
