It's been long since Jeff and his daughter seen each other. That's was due to the fact that both of them were in the military, and they were really busy. Jeff's daughter finally found some time to visit her father. She came to the house and opened the door with the copy of the key she had. The daughter entered Jeff's house, carrying a small child in her arms that was at least 2 months old "Someone came to visit his grandpa..." She said "We missed you, dad. I am sorry I didn't came here earlier"

He’s surprised to see her to say the least.

His old eyes widen and he blinks, swallowing hard. “Don’t - …it’s fine. I’m just glad to see you. …I have a grandson?” He asks, all previous anxiety past from his features as he grins at the small boy. “Glad he looks like you and not me,” he jokes, grinning at his daughter.

Philip and Joker are buds right from the start.

Philip’s fairly young (as Shepards go) and he and Joker are actually about the same age; I think Philip finds him a nice break from the generally serious business of command. I like to think that during off-hours he hangs out up in the cockpit with Joker cracking puns back and forth, and discussing the ship’s systems and modifications they could make to make it run more smoothly.
