I'm gonna be hosting CroMa Week (an unnoficial fan-run event celebrating the relationship between Maka and Crona from Soul Eater) again this year!

This year the event will be held on July 7-13!

And that's not all! This year, I'll be hosting CroMa Week on two different platforms, Tumblr and DeviantART! The Tumblr submissions will be reblogged to my official CroMa Week Tumblr (as long as they follow the rules), while I will create a separate Favorites collection on DeviantART that I may link to at the end of the event*

Here are the themes:

day 1: safe day 2: little surprises day 3: soulmates day 4: softness day 5: storybook day 6: tasty treats day 7: reciprocation

RULES:

-All submissions must not go beyond PG-rated. No violence, gore/death, or “adult” / N S F W content allowed.

-Keep Crona gender-neutral in your submissions. I will not be offering any exception to this rule, as it was how they were portrayed in canon.

-Even though this is primarily a shipping week, platonic submissions are allowed. But if you choose to make platonic submissions, you can't have either Crona or Maka shipped with another character in the submission.

-Any medium of fanwork is acceptable, you can be as creative as you want!

-@ TheApatheticKat or use the #cromaweek2019 tag (you can add spaces on Tumblr, but keep it the one solid word on DeviantART) for your submissions!

-Please try to do as much of the week as you can (it's only 7 prompts, and you're allowed to work before the event to get your submissions ready. But if you can't finish them all, whatever you've got up until that point is still good!)

-You can interpret prompts as loosely as you wish, and even combine multiple prompts to create a little story/art series

-And above all, have fun with your submissions!

You ever think about how the “We were almost like night and day” quote from Crona in reference to their friendship with Maka is, intentionally or not, a perfect allusion to the fact that they were obviously each others soul mate but the circumstances were never quite right for either of them to fully realize that

The cover for a new fan comic project of mine. There's a projected 25 pages, but updates will not be 100% consistent as I am a college student and that takes priority. I will still try my best to make sure each page will be worth its wait!

I am also planning to distribute Lepidoptera in two languages, English and Spanish! I felt translating the script would help me both improve my proficiency with the language and expand the reach of my work to wider audiences than just presenting in English alone would.

Summary: After failing to film a fake Bigfoot sighting to get more YouTube views, Maka and Soul find a strange silhouette in the woods. They return the following night to investigate, and find a moth person about their age. They tell Maka their name is Crona, and that they're all alone. Maka vows to give them a chance and from there, their relationship only grows closer as Crona becomes more and more used to the human world.
