Well, I had an epiphany, and have decided in my Bane torments Gortash in the afterlife fic, he'll end the TV broadcast in the Bhaal Temple at the point that Durge is killed by Bhaal and go "Well, they're dead, sucks to be you!"
And Gortash will know Durge will never come for him because Durge is dead and trapped in their Father's realm.
Durge will fail to find Gortash because they can't get to Bane's realm and don't know he's in the Hells.
Bane just whistling a cheery little ditty of how he's ruined two lover's lives (and afterlife) with the barest amount of effort.
