After further consideration...

Why was Mon-el doing the fixing of the transmat portal? Or rather, why was he the only one doing the fixing? Kara is perfectly capable of assisting, even if she may no longer be as proficient in Kryptonian tech improv as Mon-el seems to be.

I resent that he's slowly and subtly claiming more ownership of Kara's heritage than Kara herself. First with the smartcloth cape and now with the transmat portal.

Also, why weren't they able to send word to the DEO using his time-bending message sender thing? It's the whole reason he's there, right? If it can bend time to send a message, surely it can send a message to Earth without having to rely on holograms.

Also, if there's a message blocker on Argo, why are crystal transmissions able to somehow subvert this?
