Make art that is deep and introspective. Make art that doesn't mean fuck all. Make art that you smile about while making it. Make art that makes you cry and feel sad about. Make art that you don't feel anything at all about while making it. Make art that tries to convey something. Make art that speaks to nobody. Make art.

Constantly battling the mindset: I can't start because what I create won't meet my standards.

Shift to:

Make it anyway.

Make it as many times as it takes.

It will be art no matter what.

No one else knows what the standards are.

It can't be bad if it doesn't exist but it can't be good either.

I will learn something in the process no matter what.

Art practice is sacred and it heals me.

Nothing matters as much as developing the work.
