How About I give a breakdown THEN a fact!Lito Irfan is a Yaun-ti Halfblood Necromancer who wishes to discover the truth about the fabled Arch Liches– are/were they real, and how does one become one? Arch Liches of course being Liches who uncovered the secrets and power that a normal lich has, but through great research and study rather than the devastating cost of selling one’s soul and morality to a higher power. This way, one could keep their inhibitions, morals, and drive through to Lichdom without becoming a corrupted shell of what they once were.Since Lito’s family has a history of practicing Dark Magic, Necromancy comes easily to him– however, he was cast out due to his (for his family abnormal) “Great Naivety”, or his compassion and kindness for others. He practices magic with the sole desire of helping others how he can, from helping the poor live more rich lives by using Prestidigitation to make meager food taste like a feast, to entertain the young, to fix what is broken with Mend, etc. This extends too to Necromancy: unlike most Necromancers, Lito does not command souls and death to his bidding, he coaxes them, and only does such magic consentually. In his own words, the spirits of the dead are to be cooperated with, not commanded– they are all of great wisdom in some way or other, and much can be learned from them, so we must listen with care and build relationships as we would with any living thing. The powers of manipulating death itself are often viewed in a negative light, but Lito views it as the same as any other type of magic: powerful, but must be respected and utilized responsibly by those adept with it.Now the fun fact: Lito dabbles a little in Biology in his free time, spending time studying the world’s Mimics. He’s writing a journal about his findings, and acts as a kind of protector of them where he lives. Since Mimics are sapient organisms, Lito’s friendliness towards them and helpful nature spread amongst whatever passes for the “mimic communities”, be that actual groups or just individuals that encounter one another in the wild, so Lito helps them by housing injured ones or providing food where he can, and in turn Mimics in the wild sometimes share information about settlements and other information about the locales they’re familiar with. A mutually beneficial relationship to be sure– Mimics get fed and taken care of, and Lito spends much less time lost in the wilderness than he usually would!
