My go to comfort drawings are almost always centred around Ulthane being accidental dad to the humans he rescued.
Realised I haven’t done anything traditional in a while.

My colleague told me to take an umbrella with me today, because she could smell the rain in the air. Keep in mind it was sunny, with maybe 2 clouds. Lo and behold, it started raining the moment I gor home.
I can do something similar with storms, because a good few hours before it starts I get a headache, because of the charge in the air and the air pressure. And my brother knows all the old farmer’s and fishermen’s tales of predicting the weather, like Red sunrise = bad.
And now I can’t help but imagine the Makers all getting confused when some humans tell them not to go out tomorrow, because they can “feel” bad weather coming. Ulthane and the others would probably know that their old injuries hurt when there’s bad weather, but how funny would it be when their humans start making weather predictions on seemingly nonsensical feelings and folktales.
And then seeing some of them arguing about how the “Red sky at night” rhyme goes.
Snow day at the maker tree -
Human: Hey, Jones! You wanna be in a snowball fight with us!?
Jones: Er...
Human: Jones, what’s the problem?
Jones: I-I’ve never... actually been in a snowball fight before...
Human: Really?
Jones: I don’t even know the rules. Is there like, a point system? Or is it...
Jones: ...to the death?
