The Lethal Ladies of BLSYW take on Nationals 🔥

So you remember the Lethal Ladies of Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women? The seriously inspiring step team who performed at the 2018 MAKERS Conference?

Okay, so then you must remember when we surprised them by announcing that we would sponsor their trip to the 2018 National Stepping League Championships in Atlanta?

Well..... this week is the week! On Friday, the girls begin their two-day championship competition. This year marks the very first time that the Lethal Ladies have ever qualified for Nationals. 

Natalie Portman was almost as excited as the girls were!

Time's Up, the movement creating a legal fund for women experiencing workplace misconduct, has already been able to raise over $20 million since its inception last month and lent its services and wealth to more than 1,000 individuals. 200 lawyers have already volunteered their time to helping with cases.

The announcement was made yesterday at the 2018 Makers Conference by Tina Tchen, the former chief of staff of Michelle Obama and the current administrator of the Time's Up legal fund. She revealed the numbers during a Time's Up panel moderatd by Ava DuVernay that also included Natalie Portman, Jill Soloway, Rashida Jones, director Melina Matsoukas, CAA agent Maha Dakhil, entertainment lawyer Nina Shaw, and actress Katie McGrath.

"There is no change unless you bring every single person along who has spent time being marginalized, harassed, [or] assaulted," Jones said, while Soloway added that working with the women of Time's Up in recent months has confirmed for her that "the revolution is real.”
