#makeup girlie things #makeup enthusiast things #makeup enthusiast #Beauty Bay #By Beauty Bay is my fave #i used to get pretty much just Makeup Revolution palettes but then I kinda moved on to BBB palettes #sometimes I had some Revolution shadows like dark greens that were shit #like in the Christmas limited edition previous gems collection of palettes one year the Emerald palette (the glittery packaged ones)#i remember one time using that and being disappointed when the colour came out looking.. i think they call it muddy?#like it was just a black with a little bit of green in it #i always thought that you aren't supposed to mix black into colours when doing colour mixing to deepen up a colour #- at least in art. correct me if I'm wrong #but it was like just giving such a “yucky” formula (and that was back when the palette was new) that left a lasting impression #i got the same thing with a green in a Mecca Max palette someone gifted me #so i wonder if deep greens must just be a pigment/shade that is hard to formulate? - at least at Makeup Revolution's price point #they do other greens well tho (Makeup Rev)#By Beauty Bay does all shades well as far as I'm aware from what I've tried of theirs - and I've used colours across the spectrum #they nail every green shade - I wish they would bring back the Earthy palette (and Midnight)#but then again I've already got one of each of those two in the 42 pan palettes and I have used them a lot #but still not really hit pan on many - if any #and I haven't used them in a HOT MINUTE but I would still deem them useable #but i would still like to see them bring those palettes back for other customers to experience the joy of them!!#anyways #British makeup #last i checked (albeit sometime in the past 2 years) they were still being sold on the British/American(?) or EU (just not NZ) BB site #also has anyone looked at the eyeshadow collection currently on the site and do you also feel like the palettes look... different than b4??#makeup lover #British beauty #i am QUITE nervous about what the shipping cost gonna look like to NZ seeing as Trump's doubling the cost of petrol (at least in NZ soon)#considering the shipping cost to NZ before the site went down was $22 whole dollars

I've been putting together a brow blocking makeup kit recently eeee (squealing stim ensues) not to do drag but just for creative looks.

Gonna try first doing it w a bar of soap due to having sensitive milia-prone skin (glue sticks on milia-prone skin just sounds like a bad idea). Luckily my brows are pretty light (either ash/light blonde or light brown idk) and not too thick (kinda sparse tbh lol)

Just tryna sort out cream concealer shade but the company whose product I'm looking into atm has like 40 shades and no shade guide/shade match feature ughh. I think I'm a neutral tone, in the fairest shade possible. But at the same time, it's more abt what shade will "correct" aka cancel the brows. So it seems I am recommended to opt for a peach tone. Idk maybe I should ask for help from the online store I'd order from (this brand isn't stocked in any physical stores near me to go test)
