guysss can we just pause a moment to appreciate that Beauty Bay is coming back!!?!
#makeup girlie things#makeup enthusiast things#makeup enthusiast#Beauty Bay#By Beauty Bay is my fave#i used to get pretty much just Makeup Revolution palettes but then I kinda moved on to BBB palettes#sometimes I had some Revolution shadows like dark greens that were shit#like in the Christmas limited edition previous gems collection of palettes one year the Emerald palette (the glittery packaged ones)#i remember one time using that and being disappointed when the colour came out looking.. i think they call it muddy?#like it was just a black with a little bit of green in it#i always thought that you aren't supposed to mix black into colours when doing colour mixing to deepen up a colour#- at least in art. correct me if I'm wrong#but it was like just giving such a “yucky” formula (and that was back when the palette was new) that left a lasting impression#i got the same thing with a green in a Mecca Max palette someone gifted me#so i wonder if deep greens must just be a pigment/shade that is hard to formulate? - at least at Makeup Revolution's price point#they do other greens well tho (Makeup Rev)#By Beauty Bay does all shades well as far as I'm aware from what I've tried of theirs - and I've used colours across the spectrum#they nail every green shade - I wish they would bring back the Earthy palette (and Midnight)#but then again I've already got one of each of those two in the 42 pan palettes and I have used them a lot#but still not really hit pan on many - if any#and I haven't used them in a HOT MINUTE but I would still deem them useable#but i would still like to see them bring those palettes back for other customers to experience the joy of them!!#anyways#British makeup#last i checked (albeit sometime in the past 2 years) they were still being sold on the British/American(?) or EU (just not NZ) BB site#also has anyone looked at the eyeshadow collection currently on the site and do you also feel like the palettes look... different than b4??#makeup lover#British beauty#i am QUITE nervous about what the shipping cost gonna look like to NZ seeing as Trump's doubling the cost of petrol (at least in NZ soon)#considering the shipping cost to NZ before the site went down was $22 whole dollars
