Went to Sephora today to get makeup for le best friend’s wedding (”I don’t want to outshine the bride but I do want to look like I came close”). The employee who went out of their way to help me pick products, get ample samples, and find the best match for my skin tone stopped in the middle of applying a foundation to say that as an energy worker people usually tell them they have a calming energy but that I was giving that off and commented a few times about my having a gentle soul. It was really sweet. I’d take this as an amusing compliment but I’ve had far too many people describe me as having a calming presence to discount it.
