Hey everyone,
So after a previous post where I talked about my favourite concealers I used to use I wanted to look at my older makeup posts and see what my favourites were back then. So here is a break down of my old favourites:
- My favourite eyeshadow palette used to be the Urban Decay Naked original eyeshadow palette which at the time was the perfect palette for a neutral shimmer eyeshadow look.
- I used to have 3 favourite concealers, so the first is one I still use now which is Conceal and Define which is my holy grail concealer for a record £4.00 which is insane and the second I haven’t used in about a year which was from NYX Concealer and it was the first proper full coverage concealer and I used to use it to hide the bags under my eyes. The last one I used to use was by Benefit called the Boiing concealer which was a light coverage concealer I would use on days I want a more natural look.
- My favourite foundation used to be Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation, this was my first ever high end foundation I ever got and I do still use from time to time. It’s perfect for a full coverage look and yeah still love it now.
- The Mascra is Bad Girl Bang by Benefit was a favourite of mine for about a month then I found it made my eyes look so clumpy that I actually ended up replacing it with the Roller Lash which has been my fav for ages. I loved the idea of Bad Girl Bang and it worked great for like the first month but after a while I couldn’t make it work..... oh well we move on.
- The eyeliner in this pic was by NYX and called Epic Ink which when you first use it was a great eyeliner and worked like a charm but after a while it had a habit of lots of ink coming out at once which was annoying because it made your eyes chunky, these days I prefer to use Too Faced Better Than Sex eyeliner.
- The lipsticks that I have in this pic are the MAC vice lipsticks which were a deep purple and red which I loved at the time, now I tend to wear more nude / pink toned lipsticks from MAC. Back then I used to focus my makeup looks more around my lips but now I’m way more of a eyeliner and bolder eyeshadow kinda girl.
- My blush is Nars Orgasim (yes that’s the name I’m not joking 👍🏻) which is still a blush I use to this day and it’s pretty much the only pink I can wear.
-highlight is the Sunkiss by Revolution in the shade pink ice which ironically I had to repurchase recently as I dropped it like a total doughnut and cracked the poor thing.
- Lastly let’s talk the powders, the powder I was using in the pic was by Rimmel and named Insta matte which was a holy grail powder for making your face matte and I honestly used to use it everyday and I think I might have to start using it again.
This was such a fun post for me to write because my taste in makeup and brand changes quiet a lot so it’s nice to see what I loved back then verses what I like now.
