Whoever said Diamonds are a girls best friend clearly didn’t know us that well … ;) haha ok maybe that’s a bit dramatic but seriously I don’t know about you guys but I could NOT live without my mascara. It doesn’t matter if I do not have a scrap of foundation on I NEED to have mascara on at all times.. That is unless im asleep. Because we all no that wearing makeup to bed is a HUGE no no ! But that’s a post for a different day..Our eyelashes are like the frames for our eyes so it’s essential that we use only the best mascara that helps showcase our fabulous lashes. Now if you were to see my mascara drawer you would be in shock… I feel like everytime a new mascara comes out I HAVE to have it. Rediculous right? Believe me I know. But it has given me a good insight into which mascaras are worth your pennies and which ones perhaps don’t make the cut! Iv narrowed it down to my top 5 and im about to tell you why they are my favourites! Enjoy!

(5) Maybelline ‘Falsies’ mascara

At number 5 I have my great and faithful Maybelline falsies mascara. This mascara is great for absolutely any lash. If you require volume & lots of it I can assure you that this mascara will not disappoint! In just 2 coats your lashes obtain a heap of volume and with its natural curved brush it lengthens and curls the lashes with NO lash curler needed. My only down fall with this mascara was that once the lashes dried it was hard to put a 4th and 5ths coat on….and I need that 4th and 5th coat. None the less it is still one of my favourites and I continue to use it on a day-to-day basis.

(4) Arbonne “It’s a long story” mascara

If you’re looking for an organic and botanical based product then Arbonne “It’s a long story” mascara is just for you. Its ingredients are naturally derived which takes away the worry of putting harsh ingredients on your lashes. Some may be sceptical about using a naturally based mascara, but I can assure you this mascara works brilliantly. The brush is sleek and comb like. It lengthens lash by lash and I have found that it does not clump easily.

(3) M.A.C ‘Zoom Lash” mascara

I can honestly not say enough good things about this mascara. This was given as a gift to me from the girls at the M.A.C store in New York City. At first it just sat in my drawer for a few weeks, but when I eventually tried it I could not believe how amazing it was! This mascara adds incredible length to lashes with just one coat, and also adds outrages volume. I find I tend to use this mascara when going out as I think it gives a more intense lash look.

(2) Benefit “They’re real” mascara.

So if you are a mascara junkie like me, then this mascara would not be anything new to your ears. You can count on almost every beauty guru doing a review on this baby and none that I have ever seen or read have had anything bad to say about it. I found it strange at first because the brush is extremely stiff and hard. However by using it over time it slowly softened up and became much more flexible. I found that this mascara specifically lengthens the lashes rather then giving them volume. The great thing about this mascara is you can instantly transform it from a natural day mascara to a more intense evening look just by adding on a few more layers. My favourite thing to do is use this mascara as my base to comb out my lashes, then go in with the M.A.C Zoom lash or Maybelline falsies mascara for intense volume, wait a minute or two and finally add my favourite mascara which is…

(1) Jordana Best Lash Volumizing mascara.

Ahhhh lucky number 1. This mascara is my holy grail of all mascaras. I have been through handfuls of them because they are simply the best. I have never come across a mascara that is so affordable AND actually does everything it claims to. That is why Jordana is my favorite- it does everything the above mascaras do, and is insanely affordable. This product is truly amazing- but the downside for us Aussies is that it is only available online for around $12 ( I provided the link below !!) but in the states you can buy this product at all good drug stores for around $3.00, The Jordana Best lash mascara gives immediate Extreme Volume, has a buildable formula without clumping and has awesome long-lasting power. What more could you ask for in such a cheap product? Love it.
