Got a ring light and DAMN. It’s NOT forgiving. It’s the ring light of truth. A harsh femme confessional. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Bless me ring light for I have sinned. I don’t know how to do my makeup. I buy foundation from the dollar store. I use eyeshadow + bronze colored highlighter as blush. No clue how to pick foundation & concealer shade. Why does concealer go on after foundation (I put it on first). Can’t I just use concealer all over my face? I’m not sure if setting powder & powder powder are two different things or the same? My indecision causes me to use 3 powders at once-- MAC Studio Fix from 2014 that my TV show makeup people bought me, dollar store powder + translucent loose powder that isn’t translucent-- I look like a mime. What is toner for & do I need primer (what even IS primer!?). I’ve never used moisturiser & don’t have a clue how to pick it out or use it-- do I even need it? I‘m 48 & just moved to the desert-- I do, don’t I? Highlighter is SO PRETTY but where the F do I put it!? Irish Spring has been my go-to face wash for 48 yrs & I sleep in my makeup-- one day will this catch up to me & turn my entire face into one giant menopause pimple? My eyebrows look great from far away but up close it’s like a toddler scribbled on my face with a tiny brown crayon-- will microblading save me from having preschool art project eyebrows? Which makeup brush is for what & why isn’t rubbing them vigorously on a piece of tissue enough to clean them? What’s that spray stuff you use at the end? It is face glue to make your makeup stick? How the hell do I put on mascara without it clumping or getting little black dots all over my eyelids? F even attempting a winged cat-eye look with liquid eyeliner, that’s a cruel joke. And lipstick-- I can’t keep it from smearing or getting on my teeth. That 12 hour color-stay bullcrap just comes off in chunks so I look like I have an unfortunate lip rash. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Ring light confessional, I’M A MESS! I’M A FRAUD! I have no clue WTF I’m doing with beauty products. I woke up in a better place today which felt good. It probably had a lot to do with how supported and loved you all make me feel 🖤 and working my 🍑 off at @transformcolorado this morning. .
