💥💥💥 As promised.... here's my work in progress creating custom pieces with @michelleavina for a beauty editorial for @papercitymag . 🗡🗡🗡 Here's how I did it... I built on the latex piece I created yesterday... tutorial in my last post. Appliances can be heavy for the model, so I'm always on a search for light weight materials to work with. I started with coffee stirring straws and used #gluedots to adhere them to my latex base. I arranged the straws in a star burst pattern. Then layered mirrored confetti of different sizes and attached them individually with @gluedots, just like the straws. You'll need tweezers and patience on this one for sure. I tried a new glue for the smaller confetti and it tarnished the mirror confetti I applied it to. I won't be doing that again, LOL. I'll be painting this piece a solid color regardless, so I'm not worried about the color inconsistencies. Excited to be creating custom pieces with @michelleavina and @papercitymag for an upcoming beauty story. Can't show you everything till the issue hits the stands. I'll be posting sneak peeks that don't give anything away... except my technique and process this week. Shown is a piece of tulle that I laid on a flat surface and painted with @duoadhesive . Once dry, peel and flip the piece. Apply Duo again to the opposite side and let dry. Peel the piece off your flat surface. And pin to a mannequin so you can build with the contours of the face. #sarasays #makeuptutorial #papercitymag #saradomi #makeupmeetstech

This is a perfect visual example of #makeupmeetstech . After creating this piece and shooting it, we threw the image into multiple photo editing programs to create this cool patterned effect.
