We’re a disaster away from perfect

After years of struggling with my weight, especially after my diagnosis of #dysautonomia where I gained 30 lbs in a month trying to follow the increase your fluids to feel better route, and then mountains of tests that everyone claimed nothing was wrong with me, I finally found a doctor who by one test at a time (because they still didn't think it was the issue), I was finally diagnosed with #pcos. They still only checked 2 different hormones, and not my blood sugar and just threw me on a metformin xr (even with my long list of allergies, and medication issues). Low and behold I had to eat non stop to keep the headaches, chills, nausea, throwing up, and constant dizziness, that I was waking up with and lasted all day at bay. I was told to expect some stomach issues while my body adjusted, but nothing like that, and as I watched the scale start going back up after working so hard to bring it down, I called my pharmacist, and asked is this normal? Well if you don't have high sugar to begin with being on the xr metformin can cause hypoglycemia, which is what was happening to me. I messaged my dr, to which he replied it doesn't do that, so I talked to my other Dr and went to the other medication we were on the fence about trying. Low and behold after 2 days of not taking the metformin, the symptoms went away, and I was finally able to watch the scale go back in the right direction, no more crazy cravings, finally able to stick to my portion control and losing more weight. Here I am working on them goals of getting to a healthier weight, and a happier me, even if it means I have to replace most of my closet, I'm OK with that.
